I booked this for my mom who stayed in iloilo according to her the room is clean, food is great and comfort wise is ok but i notice every time i am trying to contact my mom the Wifi connection is very poor i guess if you only wanted to stay and not connect with your friends and family this place is commendable.

Problem with the room was sink was clogged. We had an issue with our belongings taken out of the room, followed it up the next day since no one called to follow up and was returned on check out. Staff stated it was just in the room but looked everywhere the night before and did not find it. But good news the staff found the missing item. 😶

Shows its age - has quite a musty smell to it. Even the newly renovated rooms have bad carpeting and the toilets/drainage is woeful, with one of our rooms having sewage exit through it. Only one elevator operational out of two. Surprised that everything was at a cost - extra disposable slipper? Extra blanket? Nope. And reception hangs up on you for asking these. These are amenities that most good hotels will happily provide at no cost. The only redeeming thing I can think of is that breakfast was good.

Overall it was ok, the only thing was when we requested for the towels, they charged us for the extra when there are only 2 pcs of towels in the room. I do not thing hotels should asked for that, it should be included already.

Having lived in Iloilo for years, I love the history of this hotel but sadly, the rooms have become so run down that I would not consider staying there again until they have modernised it. I'm sad to see the Sarabia name go. The staff was very friendly and the buffet breakfast was excellent although it could do with a bit more variety of fruit.

Great stay, great staff.
We had a pleasant experience from checking-in to checking out. The front desk staff, the bellman, security guards to the room service staff were all pleasant. There was a problem with their cable box and the room phone but they were promptly fixed.

No doubt hotel is good. Are you guys kidding toiletries and amenities are not included in booking. Even a non star hotel and lodge provide these items for free nowdays. When we ask at reception they told us it's not included in our booking. Wow ! keep it up. Very much upset

First, is the flexibility of service or request. Example, they are very strict in not allowing early check-in and in case, there is available room, there will be extra charge for it. Food receipt can't also be charged to hotel accommodation. Second,there should be a free shuttle to and fro the airport. Other than these, welcome staff are quick to assist.

Staff are nice and helpful. The bathroom need to be renovated. The room are nice clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffett is good. In between sm 1mile and robinsons mall .4 mile to walk15 minutes.

Not a place to visit
Extremely badly managed hotel. Staff seem to be instructed by management to control rather than serve the guests. Hospitality is catastrophic. Maintenance of facilities is terrible. I'm a very frequent traveler and this is definitely a candidate for my worst experience.

Dont book here
Booked in a junior suite and all the stuffs from pillows to covers to blankets were all old. Not a really nice place to stay. We waited for 20mins to be sent to our room even though we already have our confirmed booking as the some of their colleagues changed the password of the computer and they can't open it. Rooms were not properly cleaned, the used toothbrush of the previous customer was still there and bathrobe has a lipstick.

i have read reviews of all the hotels in iliolo and i can set them all straight this hotel is old yes...has old world charm...i liked that....needs updating but still good the pool is huge, heated and easily accessible and open many hours the water is hot in bathroom ...not always the case in all hotels they serve a good free breakfast every day.... their service is top notch...they try to make you happy wi fi service is bad....this is like many hotels free bottled water is important for americans elevator is very fast and their are camera in the hallways stores are nearby for shopping ..you are on a main strip...important for traveling and getting a cap 3 restaurants on premises for eating ....they are decent but i am spoiled with american food there is no casino...do not believe the ads there is a work out room and a large one up the block always someone at the front desk room have working air condition.....not always the case in other hotels room maids are hard workers and punctual you are very safe and feel that way the prices are reasonable and good deals can be found on the internet large sm city mall about 5 minute cab ride refrigerator in room....this is a necessity coffee tea maker also included....very important slippers and robes daily....very nice flat screen tv with some cable and two hbo stations.... i recommend the suites even the junior suite over any room they speak english plenty of staff and all very nice karaoke bar up the street

The room that we stayed was very disappointing. Old looking and needs a lot of work. Booked for 3 nights. Ask for a room transfer after 1st night but no effort for the hotel staff to make our stay pleasant. Would never go back to this hotel.

The Bed Was Good But Everything Else.....
The hotel is very old and run down. The check in process is over 10 minutes. The room itself was large enough but face out to a wall, no view at all even though it was advertised as having a view and a balcony. It had neither. The room has carpet which is filthy and caused me to cough incessantly and eventually get bronchitis. Above every bed is a Christian cross with jesus nailed to it. The wifi simply does not work and no amount of complaining will get it fixed. The breakfast is pretty disgusting, its precooked cold eggs We were sitting enjoying a bento box from the japanese restaurant, which was passable. Some homeless guy can to our table and mumbled at us and just stared. The staff did nothing and I had to yell at them to get rid of this creep. They, for reasons only a Filipino could come up with thought this guy was our friend. He eventually wandered off and I asked the staff why didnt they summon the 2 security guards who were lounging around outside. It took soem time for that concept to dawn on them. No doubt it was the security guys who opened the door for this very obviously homeless person. Made me concerned for security at night in the hotel. Anyway, if you would love a frustrating annoying hotel stay then sure go right ahead and book this place...

Hotel need maintenance
Hotel need manitenance, carpet is old and stained. Bathroom is also old, sink & bath tub is old, water is not hot and tap is faulty. Air-con stop working in the middle of the night and the second night it happened again several times - rang maintenance & was told to wait for their service person in the morning. The air-con stopped due to got frozen/dirty, etc.. No compaints when it comes to staff, they are friendly and helpful all the time.
