***Due to the ongoing issues with Mexico's water treatment pumps, the ocean is not guaranteed to be open at this time.. They do test the bacteria levels daily, but the majority of the year the Ocean has been closed from the Border, past Imperial Beach up to Coronado Beach. If swimming in the ocean is a major amenity I would not stay in these areas, until further notice.***

The beach club is a three story private, gated complex. The Beach Club is a U-shaped building that is located on the sand, no busy street or boardwalk separating you from the beach. It has its own heated pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, and barbecue facilities in the spacious garden atrium.

Great location and space
Very nice place. Good parking. Great view and close walk to beach, near a park and some shops. Only downside had to do with the neighbors smoking out on their balcony which made sitting outside unpleasant at times. I suspect they aren’t supposed to do that and were also vacationers. Property itself is excellent. Well stocked kitchen with utensils. Bedroom with the 2 beds is tight but having two queens is nice for more people.

Ocean View at its Best
The view from this condo is amazing. We enjoyed being as close to the waves as you can get without getting wet. The apartment is as described and nicely appointed. The building is a little deceiving but the condo is very nice. Shower water pressure in the master shower was in need of attention as was the main bathroom shower doors. We would definitely stay here again. The host did a great job of communicating all the tricks to gain access.

Beautiful beach holiday
We spent a few spectacular days with the beach and ocean as our constant view and the sound of waves as our background music! We even saw dolphins in the waves several days in a row! The condo was spacious and very comfortable—just right for our needs. This was by far the nicest vacation rental we’ve rented in Imperial Beach since we started visiting our daughter and her family here five years ago. We’re so glad we found it. Thanks for making this lovely space available for our use!

The only suggestions I would give is to either provide some beginning toiletries just the basics. Or specify that those are not included. Room darkening blinds would be helpful because there are lights outside the windows that cannot be turned off. Also, a baking dish of some kind would be great. Other than that, the unit was absolutely spectacular! Our view was gorgeous! We had great weather and enjoyed our stay very much! We had plenty of room to spread out. I like the mirror on the living room wall. It gave the illusion that we had even more space which was nice. We enjoyed the hot tub, I was surprised because I didn’t see it listed as an amenity, so that was a bonus for sure! we had plenty of towels, I appreciated the fact that there was central air and heat in this unit. I thought it’s not really common in San Diego. Visiting in December, we still went barefoot and wore shorts to walk the beach. We were very close to the pier and enjoyed that little excursion. Tons of places to eat close by as well! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would do it again!

Wonderful!
The condo is tastefully furnished with a 180 degree of the beach and ocean. The location is ideal for visiting nearby restaurants and shopping. The beach is beautiful with the pier closeby. The open area with barbeques, swimming pool and hot tub are clean, friendly and well planned out. We look forward to coming back to stay again.

STUNNING LOCATION RIGHT ON IMPERIAL BEACH
With the Pacific and Imperial Beach right outside your balcony it's a terrific local and with only minor criticisms....a great place for a day/week/month stay. The property is extremely well secured requiring several levels from private reserved parking underground, key to enter the property and work the elevator, and a code to enter your room. The courtyard is immaculately landscaped with tropical succulents and various palms; the picnic tables around the gas grills are clean and inviting; the grills well maintained work fine. Our condo on the second (of three) level is a bit dated and could use some upgrades especially in the bathrooms and kitchen. The bedrooms are sizable, comfortable and the closet/dresser space plentiful. There are big screen tv's in both bedrooms. The television set in the living room is virtually useless in the afternoon as the bright light/sunshine off the ocean literally washes out the picture. The curtains on the beachfront windows are far from blackouts. The management provides TP and Paper Towels just at the beginning of your stay---no replacements; since we stayed 3 weeks we were required to buy our own replenishments whereas guests staying for just the weekend or a few days would not. Seems to penalize the longer stay guests for a minimal cost. The sizable swimming pool and hot tub/spa are well maintained. However, several of the rails leading up to the spa were rickety, the poolside footing needs to be repainted.... somewhat slippery. The surrounding area is beach quaint. There is an excellent new Mexican restaurant, a lively pizza palace, a dive bar, a nearby mini marke, a fine dining restaurant and fully stocked surf and beach wear shop all within easy walk. The main Imperial Beach retail mall is 10 minutes away; there are plentiful fast food and bars lining Palm Avenue from I5 to the property. Coronado is an easy 15 minute drive. There is no management on site, which is somewhat concerning; however, a text or email to their office is usually replied within minutes....during "office hours" on weekdays. Weekends and after hours is a concern. During our stay with one or two exceptions of neighbors partying with loud music, there were no signs of any security problems. The beach is fully life guarded and very carefully patrolled. For a beach front ocean-in-your-face condo..... this is a relaxing with only minor complaints a very pleasant stay.

The property is in a great area, amazing views, beach right out the door! The condo is exactly as described, check in and out was very simple. Any questions/issues were answered quickly. Only complaint we would have is walls are thin and we could hear upstairs neighbor laughing and talking loudly past 10 pm.

Oceanside Retreat!
We stayed at this property for a week in October 2021. Between the time I booked the property several months ago to our actual stay last week, the property has been painted and updated. There was new furniture and new beds (very comfortable) as well as newly updated items in the bathrooms and fresh decor. We could walk to many nearby restaurants. Imperial Beach has a definite southern California vibe -- we loved watching the surfers and other water enthusiasts right from our deck, not to mention the dolphins. The pool and hot tub were clean and inviting. You just have to go down a few steps and you're on the beach. Secure underground parking meant we left the car and walked wherever we could. This condo is just a short drive (15 to 20 minutes) from San Diego and all it has to offer. Instructions for checking in and out were clear. To be honest, the spectacular view would have compensated for any shortcomings in the condo, but there were none. We were 100 percent satisfied with this rental!

Great place for a vacation!
We loved staying at this property! It was easy access to the things we wanted to do in San Diego, and being right on the beach, allowed us to come back each day and play on the beach for a few hours! It was amazing! We loved that the kids could go to the beach with out having to pack up beach stuff and get in the car to get there. I even baked a birthday cake while they went down to the beach, waived at them from the balcony once they picked a spot, and joined them 30 min later. It was clean, the couches were new (compared to previous reviews), it had most of the basics, and secure. The pier has a yummy restaurant, and you can rent body boards at the Surf Hut right by the garages. Kids said it was the best place ever and we agree!

Amazing Views!
This property was perfectly suited for our needs. We were in town to visit grandchildren that live near by, and the location couldn't have been more perfect. Plenty of space, beautiful view, comfortable furnishings. Clean property. Off street private parking with security features that are appreciated This was a quiet community which we enjoyed! Right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean and sundown! We will try to stay here again.

Beautiful getaway
The property was a perfect weekend getaway. We were able to safely isolate in the condo during this pandemic, while relaxing and enjoying the beautiful ocean and cooler San Diego weather. We will definitely be back!

Couches were old and worn. Had to sit on pillows for any support. Says it has a phone for local calls...no phone service. Living room tv worked intermittently..called office, they said they'd be right up....never came to fix it. Beds weren't very comfortable. No beach chairs to use. Other than that...great view!

Our family enjoyed our stay and loved the view! The bed is uncomfortable and couches need updating but otherwise the rental was great! There were boogie boards and sand toys for our kids to use; which was nice! Thanks for the fun week!

Great place right on the ocean!
The outside of the building definitely isn't a good indication of what's inside. The condo was very clean and the view was stunning. We found that there were enough pillows and blankets for everyone. The pool and bbq area were also very clean. It was chilly during our stay so we couldn't use the pool as we wanted. My suggestion to anyone staying here is to make sure that you bring absolutely everything you need. They do provide towels, a bit of laundry detergent, and a couple rolls of toilet paper. Make sure you bring tin foil and spices or anything you need for cooking. Thanks to the owner for having a nice clean condo with great views!

Perfect location!
My family of 5 had an amazing stay here! The location was perfect. The place feels secure, there are lots of great local places to eat right across the street and plenty of big chain restaurants nearby if you prefer that. All within 2 miles. The location was the most enticing, literally beachfront, with the most amazing views of the sunset! Right next to a playground for kids and just near the boardwalk. The place was clean, had plenty of kitchen items needed for cooking, updated kitchen appliances & there was a washer & dryer. The beds were comfortable enough. There were tons of books, cable tv, internet and sand toys for the kids. The couches were a little dated and could be replaced but literally not an issue because we were at the beach most of the time. When we arrived, one of the sun shades in the living room would not go down. Not a big deal because the views are so amazing, but I messaged the owner just to let them know. To my surprise, the owner replied right away and sent the handyman over to fix them. The handyman was also super nice and gave us local insight to places to eat. It can be a bit noisy depending on your neighbors upstairs. It seemed as if there were small kids running around above us which got a little annoying, but the positive things definitely outweigh any of those small issues. Nor is this something the owner can control. It was more of a PSA . We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and we still didn't want to go home. We definitely plan on returning and this is the PERFECT spot!!

The condo was very well maintained with a great pool and hot tub in addition to beach access. We had a wonderful time exploring the beach as well as exploring the restrauants and breweries on SeaCoast Dr. We ventured into San Diego or coranado for shopping. It was a wonderful vacation!

Imperial Beach is our new favorite place! This unit is fantastic too! 1. The view- blissful oceanfront close to pier 2. Good food nearby- Kate's and Babycakes are our favorites. (The young man working at Babycakes was friendly, helpful and a joy!) 3. Walkable --- like stroll thru beach front streets and enjoy local friendliness! 4. Barely used AC- open the windows in dining room and bedrooms for amazing breeze 5. Rent the convertible and drive up 75 to Coronado and La Jolla. You won't regret it! 6. Bonfires on the beach (Silver Strand) at sunset are to die for! 7. Highly recommend in unit massages. Sound of the surf is amazing and there's ample room for 2 tables to be set up in the living room. We booked via Soothe. Owner was easy to work with and the app they have available is great! Super helpful info in pre-arrival documents. Hope to visit again soon! Highly recommend.
