Fab well appointed little Gem is what the Burlington Guest House is. The location is brilliant and the bus stops 1 minute from the guest house. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well maintained and a great size and the sea view was fab. The Breakfast has a varied menu which caters for everybody and is delicious and well presented and perfectly cooked by Duncan. We had a meal on one evening this was tasty and service was quick and amazing value for money.
A special mention must go to Duncan and Katie who run the Burlington who take the time out to chat and make sure everything is spot on with your stay.
Thank you for an amazing stay in Arran we will definitely be back

What an enjoyable stay.
Finding was easy as it’s on the main road. Doors open for a friendly reception and easy book in. Key code doors meant we had to remember the code and not a key.
Room was immaculate with comfy bed (normal spring mattress with a memory foam topper) loads of pillows too. Room had lots of plugs and usb sockets so we could charge up 4 items at a time.
En-suite had a generous shower and some soaps n things. Neat bog but no soft shut lid (you just get used to some things) plenty towels too.
Room had kettle and most beverages needed. Including a tassimo type coffee maker. Tv on the wall but no remote for the first day.
This place has had a room makeover to suit the modern traveler as it’s function suited us perfectly.
Location, as it’s south east and central it made moving round the island ideal. Great beach (rock pool) just outside. Close to the Arran Gin Co, Lagg distillery. Golf courses are dotted everywhere. Giant’s graves, Glenashdale waterfall, King’s caves to name a few places to visit. We saw a bus which looks like it goes to these places so perhaps a visit without being the designated driver.
Recommend, definitely. This is a must visit lodgings.
Return again, absolutely. This place is on our ‘to return’ list.
This hotel is in a fantastic location and the restaurant is excellent so you do not need to go out for dinner. Duncan the chef sourced his meat and sea food from suppliers he knew so the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. He was very welcoming both to us and our dog.
Lovely guest house with super staff. Bedroom comfy lovely bedding. Dog friendly with treats for them. Fantastic position over looking Holy Island. Breakfast excellent!
Fabulous room with sea view. Very clean and comfortable- nicely furnished too. Covid safety very much a theme, which was reassuring. Food was amazing. We booked a meal on the day of our arrival for convenience but quickly booked for a second dinner. Duncan is proud of his menu and rightly so. Haven’t stayed in Whiting Bay before - always Brodick previously - but we will definitely revisit.
We could not recommend the Burlington enough. Beautiful location. Right across the road from the beach. The staff were lovely. Couldnt of been more welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay. Amazing food, beautifully presented. Good sized portions and plenty of choice for breakfast. We also ate at the restaurant a couple of nights which we couldn’t fault either. We stayed on the ground floor with a sea view along with our dog who was also made very welcome. Well decorated room and bathroom. We cannot wait to stay again. Thank you Duncan and to all of your lovely staff too! Xx
An excellent three nights at the Burlington. Stayed in room 6 which was gorgeous, with an amazing view and great facilities. Dined in the restaurant one evening and the food was superb! Duncan and his staff were so friendly and welcoming and we can't wait for next time!
A very warm Welcome awaits you at The Burlington Hotel from Duncan and Katie, Do not go anywhere else for meals, The food here is Exceptional and i mean Exceptional. Really enjoyed our stay , will return, and would highly recommend it to others.
I enjoyed a great stay at The Burlington while away with work. I had a sea room which gave me a fantastic panoramic view of Whiting Bay.
The hotel was very Covid safe. Everywhere was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice.
Duncan made me feel very welcome which made it a joy to come back to the hotel after work.
The food was very good and very well priced.
Duncan couldn’t do enough to make my stay enjoyable. A real credit to the hotel. He gave warmth and soul to the place. Will definitely becoming back.
Duncan and his partner were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Bed was very comfy. Lovely place to stay. Thoroughly recommend
Lovely location made to feel very welcome. Room was large with sea view only area for improvement was you could smell the kitchen in the upstairs corridor and a little in the room
