My wife and I stayed here for one night while we visited the Isle of Colonsay; we wish we could have stayed longer but the limited ferry schedule constrained us. Since this is the only hotel on the island, it doesn't exactly have much competition, but it provides a good experience nonetheless. In addition to a hotel, it's a pub, lounge, and restaurant, and there are tables and chairs set up in the grassy yard. The location is excellent; it's up a slight hill from the ferry terminal, which gives the dining area (and some rooms, presumably) a great view over the bay, and it's within 3 miles of most of the points of interest on the island (e.g. Kiloran Bay, The Strand/Oronsay). Dinner at the restaurant was amazing, and the pub features several varieties of gin made on the island. The rooms can be a little small, but that's understandable given the age of the building, and they have clean, modern bathrooms. The staff were accommodating of our request to store our luggage at the hotel both before and after our stay, and also let us check out slightly late, since we arrived on a morning ferry and departed on an evening one.
