Come to stay at the fabulous Sea Cabin Condominiums, a condo complex in Isle of Palms offering a premium location on the island! This adorable 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom second-floor condo has all you need for a little escape to the shore, and this unit, in particular, has been completely redone! Some might even say it’s the best unit in the complex, with custom lighting, sleek flooring, and an economic use of space that makes this lovely home just right for a beach vacation.

Things to know prior to booking your stay:
• The Sea Cabin buildings do not have an elevator. Stairs are used to access all units, including some stairs to the 1st floor.
• Full Disclosure: There are small bunk beds built into the hallway – they are loved by children and even perfect for some small adults. They’re also a great place to use for extra storage if not being used for sleeping! They measure 24”x72.5” compared to standard twin size of 38”x75”.
• We have upgraded the standard mattress pads to luxury, custom sized mattresses that are very comfortable!
• All units are 490 sq. ft. – they most comfortably accommodate 2 adult guests with smaller children. But while they are smaller, they are still 2x the size of most hotel rooms and include a fully functional kitchen!
• Please carefully review all photos including the aerial photo that shows the layout of the condo complex to get an idea of where you'll be staying.
• Washers and Dryers are located next to the pool on the oceanfront; they are coin operated or you can download an app to pay.
• Parking notes: Each unit is given 1 parking pass during peak season (June 1 – August 1). One extra pass may be requested during the off season.
• The community pool is not heated and is usually open year round.
• No smoking. A $500 dollar fine will be issued in order to professionally get rid of the odor.
• No pets on site per condo regime and condo owner. No exception unless ADA documentation is provided prior to your arrival. A $500 dollar fine will be issued if pet(s) are found on site without proper documentation.
• This property is managed by Carroll Realty, located on the island just 1.5 miles from the condo should you need anything during your stay!

Step into the entryway of the home and you’ll find two built in bunk beds, allowing for more sleeping space—a great spot for the kids to take! There’s a door that can close and give this area more privacy, giving you the convenience of a second bedroom whenever you’d like. The full bathroom is right off the hall, with a gorgeous walk-in shower and muted beach colors.

Continue on and you’ll come across the open concept living and kitchen area. The kitchen offers a stylish look and stainless steel appliances, as well as a coffee maker! Make your own meals as much or as little as you’d like, as the kitchen is fully equipped for all your vacation cooking needs and offers a spacious fridge with French doors for storing leftover dishes from local restaurants. Counter seating offers four barstools, where you can grab a quick snack or get some work done from home.

The living area offers plenty of seating, with a comfy sofa and two additional chairs, as well as two additional pieces that can be used as either a coffee table or pushed together for extra sleeping space. A large flat screen TV makes the area primed for relaxing, whether it’s between trips to the beach or after a long day exploring the isle. The bedroom offers up a luxurious king-sized bed, and its own private flat-screen TV.

From the living area, sliding doors lead out to the balcony, which offers an outdoor sofa and two seats—and most of all, ocean views! Enjoy this space night or day and immerse yourself in the ocean breeze. When you want to head to the shore, you’ll find it’s only a walk away from the unit, and that you have access to the complex pool and kiddie pool. In addition, this condo is within walking distance from the local county park, restaurants, nightlife, boutique shopping, and ice cream shops!

The Sea Cabin Condominiums are 490 square feet and are comprised of a three-building complex where all units have private balconies overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean. This is also the only lifeguarded area on the island = comfort in safety! Wireless Internet is also available. The complex has a very large pool and a kiddie pool. Come try your luck at fishing from the 1000-foot fishing pier that is only accessible by condominium owners and guests or enjoy a relaxing walk on the pier over the breaking waves.

Bike, water sport and beach umbrella rentals are available nearby. Shopping, dining, ice cream shops, nightly entertainment, grocery store, and post office are a short walk from the complex.

Bed Layout: The condo sleeps 6, but we recommend no more than 4 guests.
Bedroom has a King Bed with 50" TV.
The living room sofa can be put together to allow for sleeping.
The hallway consists of bunk beds built-in to the wall - perfect for small children!

ALL BED LINENS, KITCHEN TOWELS, AND BATH TOWEL SETS ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE!! You will only need to bring or plan to rent beach towels, chairs, bikes, umbrellas, etc. Also included is a starter set of toiletries such as toilet paper, bath & dish soaps, paper towels, etc. but please do keep in mind you will most likely need to purchase these items after your initial arrival.

The Sea Cabin Condominiums share a Community Pool including a kiddie pool, Coin Laundry Facility, and have access to a Private Fishing Pier! These condos are each 490 square feet and are comprised of a three-building complex where all units have private balconies overlooking the beach and Atlantic Ocean. A few important notes to be aware: NO HOUSE PARTIES. NO SMOKING. NO PETS. No exceptions! There is a very strict noise ordinance policy on the island that goes into effect at 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on weekend nights. The 1 car limit is also strictly enforced. This house is a family rental and is located near year-round residents. This is not a rental home for bachelor/bachelorette events, wedding groups, youth groups, fraternities/sororities, receptions, or any other types of larger gatherings. We do NOT rent to students or anyone under the age of 21 - no exceptions - even if a parent or legally responsible adult makes the reservation. If such a group occupies or attempts to occupy the property, they will be required to immediately vacate and there will be NO refunds given. Further, this home is strictly a non-pet friendly home. Guest will be fined $500 if a pet is found to be on the property at any time.

Location is excellent. Steps from beach and pier. Good grocery store, fishmonger, butcher, liquor store, pharmacy within 5 minute walking distance. California King bed with very good mattress. New fridge and decent pots/pans/knives etc... Keyless entry, beach chairs. Overall a quiet and adult vibe. Really enjoyed it.

It is diabolical to charge a cleaning fee AND expect your guests to do the cleaning. Check in/out times are 4&10 (not 3&11 like a hotel where you’re not expected to clean). The property management company, a local real estate office, sent exactly 10(!) emails the day I booked. 3 more emails followed the next day I checked in. It was mostly about how I needed to make the process smoother for them and their cleaning staff. The emails strongly discouraged any ideas one might get about requesting an early check in, late departure or checking one’s bags. The sheer number of emails involved in what should be a simple transaction added unnecessary stress to an impromptu weekend getaway. On a strict time crunch they stress what’s expected of the guest in terms of cleaning and rules but failed to simply provide a parking pass where the emails stated it would be. A parking pass had to be delivered and my booking the day prior was blamed. Last minute revenue should be welcomed not blamed for their inability to follow their own email procedures for check in. Never could get the TV/router combo to work. No instructions were provided. The emails were a total turnoff and being expected to clean is why I try to avoid places like this. The whole vibe that the guest should be making the process as easy as possible for their business model is just arrogant. They email you ready made excuses against any sort of flexibility on arrival/departure times. I didn’t need either but WOW!

Communal Areas Need Attention
The unit itself was just as described. We had no issues with the unit we rented. We were however disappointed with the overall property condition, specifically the pool area and restrooms. The property wasn’t maintained and cleaned to our standards. There were weeds growing up around the pool area fencing, the pool deck wasn’t kept clean, the restrooms at the pool were absolutely disgusting I wouldn’t even step foot back in there a 2nd time. Other families at the pool were also commenting on the condition of the restrooms and how bad they were. Paint was peeling off the deck fencing, they spray painted the lights and didn’t tape them off so there’s black overspray on other areas of the fencing, the pool didn’t appear to be cleaned daily, I had planned to use the laundry facility but given the condition of the restrooms and pool we decided not to. I thought $2k for 4 nights was too high given the condition of the Properties facilities.

I stayed two nights with my husband and our two young kids. The unit is small but suited our needs. It was pretty clean and nicely decorated. Our kids loved the bunk beds and it was great that there was a door separating that area from the rest of the unit so we couls stay up once the kids were asleep. The balcony area was great. Prime location, nice pool, beach and pier access. Full kitchen with all the dishes and appliances you'd need, great water pressure in the shower. You can tell the properly is old and a bit dated but still well maintained. Seamless check in and out. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Beach Vacation
The condo was clean and the decor clean and breezy. The space was small. The master bedroom accommodated a king size bed, however there was such little space on the side that I had to crawl onto of the bed to get in. There were 2 small bunk beds in the hallway/entryway for small children. I wouldn't stay there with more than 2 people. The living space was too tight to comfortably accommodate more than me and my partner. I wish I was aware that the condo was one of hundreds. It was like the "Sea Colony" of Bethany Beach. It had private beach access however it is right next door to the public beach and for this reason the beach was more crowded than I would have like (especially on weekends). The restaurants in walking distance were not to my liking. We did find lovely restaurants on other islands.

Just what we needed.
We had an excellent time. We really enjoyed how close the condo is to the beach. Everything was clean and as expected. I was apprehensive at first about not having a whole bath tub with a small child. But the removable shower head was just perfect and worked out so well for my son, because it's small and mounted lower.

The views of the ocean and proximity to the beach are hard to beat. The security of the facility was great. The sleeping arrangements are a bit tight but worth the struggle if you’re looking for a beach vacation. If you wouldn’t want to get back in your car it is not necessary!!!

Great spot on Isle of Palms.
We enjoyed our 4-night stay in May , Sea Cabins is a very safe and quiet spot with pool and very easy access to beach and pier. Close and convenient to downtown Charleston, and also several "beachy" eateries within 2-3 blocks. The condo was a good size for the 2 of us, 1-2 more would have been stretch. The king bed and sleeper sofa were, in my view, a bit oversized for the rooms where placed. And the ocean view from our unit (and all units) overlooks the parking lot first then the beach, rather than a direct view of dunes/beach, just check photos on the website or google so you are not surprised. But overall a great spot, and we will definitely seek this resort and specific unit again.
