Good but not for families
The comfort double room doesn't sleep 3 as advertised. The room was very tiny and the staircase in front of reception extremely narrow, making it very uncomfortable to stay there with a small child. Also it was very loud at night and there was no window in the room. Other than that the staff were very friendly, breakfast was nice and the location was central and still nicely quiet.

Great hotel in a great location. The staff were extremly friendly and helpful, especially Ibrahim, who was a real help and spoke great English. Quite a few flights of stairs to get to the room but was only an issue with bags. Good breakfast and Ibrahim remembered it was our wedding aniversary and put a cake in the room, a really nice extra touch.

Wonderful
Our stay was really good ! The staff was wonderful and they were so good in communication ( the staff was the best part there ) ! I need to thank Mehmet as he was so wonderful and so friendly to us ! Definitely coming again one day and I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to have all places near by car or walk and to have a friendly environment

This was the perfect place to stay in such a fun part of town! Close by to a bunch of good restaurants, cafés, and boutiques. The staff were incredible.

Extremely disappointed when we went to check in - the hotel said ‘good news we have given you an upgrade and the guy will come in a few minutes to move us to a different hotel’ we told the guy we don’t want an upgrade we just want to stay at the hotel we booked, I made a lot of research on finding the exact location and once for our specific meet when we travel. He said it is not possible you have to do this. So sure enough, the guy came and took us to another Maroddi hotel, which was a 5 min walk. The last thing you want when you’ve flown from from the US to Turkey - got in a taxi, unloaded your suitcases, & then told you have to move hotels & walk over cobblestone streets in hi 80’ weather Staff at the new Hotel were lovely, but first thing in the morning as we had booked with Expedia - I called Expedia - they were horrified & said that was not acceptable. We Love Expedia & always book with them. If ever, you have a problem they really go out of their way to help you. Expedia helped us rectify the problem. Personally, I think the issue is I booked the hotel 11 months ago & got a really good rate when I booked midwinter - now it is going for 5x more a night so they know they can get more $$ - & hope no one bothers to complain. I’m pretty sure Expedia’s gonna read them the riot act.

Meroddi have a number of hotels in the Galata area. We stayed at an alternative location a couple of streets from our designated location. The room was large, with plenty of storage and was cleaned every day of our stay. Breakfast was at a sister hotel. Would use this hotel again if we return to Istanbul.

The hotel has a great location close to Taksim and a block away from the Galata Tower. We were a group of 13 people and had reserved 7 rooms. Unfortunately when we go to the hotel it was overbooked and we were divided to 3 different properties. The front desk clerk was unable to clearly explained what happened and just told me that we were booked in three different hotels. We had to carry the luggage up the hill to get to the new hotels. The new hotels provided were excellent. Our rooms were great and so was the hotel staff.
