Great stay in comfy place for budget conscious
Wonderful stay filled with friendly staff, great space and nice area. Room is a serviceable apartment which means there is not daily housekeeping. If wanted room cleaned, you coudl request it and was inexpensive. With that said, great space as had bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette, bathroom and washer/dryer. We cooked dinner a couple nights and space was good. Enjoyed the local bakeries, restaurants, shops. People friendly and helpful. English is our first language and some staff, while limited, could speak English and we had no issues. If you want to be in touristy area, this is not it. Distance wise not far to those areas (traffic determined amount of time required to get there) and we explored both European and Asian sides. It is located on a side street so view from room nothing special. It is not fancy but is really nice. We had a car but hotel is walkable to public transportation. Also walked to many nearby places. Hotel staff great in helping to park car. Would have liked an exercise room but able to get by without. It was very convenient for the reason came to Istanbul and would definitely stay here again.
Dinner we made in room. Bread was bought at bakery. room does not have oven.

We recently stayed at BayMari Suites for our holiday, and while the property has some positive aspects, there were significant issues that affected our experience. Pros: The property is spacious, and we were moved to a room slightly bigger than the one we initially booked, which gave us more room to move around. The size of the rooms, in general, is generous, which can be a plus for families. Cons: Unfortunately, we encountered an infestation in the original room we were assigned. The presence of bed bugs was undeniable, and it’s hard to believe that such an obvious issue could have been missed by the cleaning staff. This really impacted the overall comfort and cleanliness of our stay. The area around the hotel is not ideal for a holiday, as it's a Economically disadvantaged neighborhood with some dilapidated buildings nearby. While this isn’t directly the hotel’s responsibility, it’s worth noting for those looking for a more polished vacation setting. Cleaning standards were below average, which may have contributed to the infestation issue in the first place. This was disappointing, especially considering the circumstances. In summary, BayMari Suites has spacious accommodations, but there are clear areas for improvement, particularly with cleanliness and infestations.

Great place for short term stay. Good location with access to Train Station and Main roads/ High street Shops within minutes. Staff are very friendly and always welcoming, always made us feel at home. Just some minor wear/tear inside the property we stayed at that could’ve been fixed at minimal cost. Hence the given rating but overall we had a lovely stay at BayMari Suites

The property itself is very nice and with a superb staff. The neighborhood is very safe with lots of eateries and shops, which stay opened very late. Some things to be aware of, only because I had not read or researched Baymari well. So it's not the hotels fault, just my failure to investigate ahead of time. 1. It is not your typical hotel where clean linen and cleaning is provided daily or on demand at no extra cost . You will be expected to pay additional fees for these services. 2. It's very far from the touristy areas. We had to take buses and Ubers daily, which added to the costs. It was also very hot making it difficult to go back and forth. 3. No pool or gym or fancy views. The free breakfast was cookies, tea or coffee. 4. Lastly, again this has nothing to do with Baymari but it's worth mentioning to stay away from those little grocery shops there with no displayed prices. Make sure you buy stuff at the listed prices and do your own tallying to ensure it matches the cash register. I was scammed a few times. Would I stay here again? Probably not, only because I prefer to be close to the touristy areas and love full morning breakfasts and having access to a gym and spa. Otherwise kudos to the hospitable warm staff.
