Not worth the price: low ceiling, inconvenient breakfast hours, no coffee machine, breakfast room super busy and you have to ask for coffee and proteins, security frame at the entrance beeping with no reason as they are not really checking people, revolving door hardly working, nice interior and clean space, nice front desk staff however the concierge was unhelpful.

This is a beautiful hotel continently located in the heart of Istanbul but we were disappointed to discover that we had been given a room on the “smoking floor” of the hotel without our knowledge. Cigarette smoke came through the vents all night and the hotel was full so we couldn’t have another room. A 5-star hotel should have a policy to ask customers their preference for smoking or non-smoking rooms. Management had little to say in this issue and didn’t provide a discount on the room because it was paid through Expedia.

Divan Istanbul is the choice!
Divan Istanbul is the perfect hotel experience. It's location, luxury, comfort, service and staff are all excellent. Effe at the front desk was especially helpful in our early check in and extended check out due to flight schedules. Shafa at the concierge desk went above and beyond to help arrange last minute Turkish sweets as souvenirs when we checked out. The breakfast buffet is the highlight of this hotel, and features classical Turkish cheeses, olives and honey.
