Attention to details exists throughout the hotel. The room was spacious and had amenities desired for a longer stay (kitchenette, laundry, sitting area). We only needed one night but really wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel common areas inside and out were nice to lounge in. The area surrounding the hotel is trendy but avoids the loudness from Istikal street.

Just wow. This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. We had a duplex and it was just about perfect. The location is central yet quiet. Service was great. Traditional Turkish breakfast was lovely.

Nice breakfast area and food to enjoy every morning. Next door is a hammam (Turkish bath) which we enjoyed very much. We had the loft which is a building across the street, 2 bathrooms (with washing machines) and very spacious. The location is convenient, about 10 minutes walk down to the tram station, and not too far uphill to Taksim. Different from a big faceless big hotel. Highly recommended.

The best place to stay in the city!
I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It’s centrally located but on a quiet street. I could walk to main shopping areas, restaurants, the metro, and the ferry to the asian side. Its extremely clean, the staff are especially kind and helpful, and the breakfast each morning was excellent! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I absolutely loved staying here. I would only stay at this hotel while in Istanbul. Bonus- the turkish bath next door was a highlight of my trip! You have to try it! 10/10

Overall the place was pretty decent. The room was spacious. However, the bathroom is very small. The location was in a very quiet street. You can walk to the Takism Square, Galata Tower and the tram station in approximately 10-15 minutes.

I am a retired US diplomat. I have lived in six countries other than my own, and I've visited 63 more. In a lifetime of travel, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. The Hammahane is as fine a boutique hotel as I have ever come across. Not only is it conveniently located on the European side of Istanbul near tourist sites, monuments, and and endless variety of restaurants and cafes, but the facility is clean and in excellent repair, the included breakfast is excellent, and the staff is fabulous - beyond helpful. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
