Not very enchanting castly
Upon checkin I was a bit shocked when greeted with the most inhospitable staff. Very cold, never once welcoming. Check in was at 3pm. I asked if the room is ready earlier, they kept repeating checkin is at 3pm. I’m like can you see if any rooms are available? They didn’t bother to look. So since the hotel was basically shut down for a wedding, there was no where to relax so we had lunch nearby and just sat in a car for a few hours. Upon checkin, the rooms are tiny. Less than advertised. Tv was old and not a smart tv. The property itself which could be magical really feels like a truck stop attraction. There’s no spa here either. It’s a massage table on a terrace. I asked to use the jacuzzis. They said they were reserved for the next 4 hours. I saw 2/5 being used. Change of staff and the place could be really nice. Or at least teach them the basics.

It's not really a hotel, but a party venue
Biggest problem was noise. I booked the highest level of suite they had for 7 nights. However the room (top left of their cover photo) is very close to their main business activity which is events and parties. Just about every day was a party of one form or another. These parties go on until the early hours or all night. One graduation party started at mid-night and finished at 07:00. These are very loud and make sleep almost impossible. I understand that as a business they want to maximise revenue, however unless you are there just for one night and are attending the party, it's not a great place to stay - or at least not in the imperial suites.

The hotel was lovely but my room didn’t have any toiletries or hand towels what so ever tried to call room service but no answer and there was lots of noise from other guests partying hitting the door and walls

The castle is gorgeous but the rooms definitely reflect the age of the property. I stayed at the Suite da Torre (Tower suite) and it's one of the most interesting rooms I've ever stayed in with breathtaking views. The bathroom though has a constant sewage smell. The fist day we had left the windows ajar and door open and then in the next day the smell was nauseating. We had to keep the windows open to dissipate the smell. My sister also mentioned having the same smeel in her room. Staff was excellent and the grounds had several activities for kids and adults and also several options for dinning. The views of the grounds and surrounding are gorgeous. My niece had her wedding at the castle and it was like a fairy-tale.

Fun sleeping at a tower in the castle. Our teenage girls enjoyed it, even if it was a little cheesy at times. Great balcony views, clean and spacious.

O atendimento e estrutura do hotel são otimos porem o hotel estava muito cheio ( ferias escolares) e apenas um elevador nao era suficiente para todos os hospedes. A suite da torre tem uma vista e uma decoracao incrivel porem a cama poderia ser queen e a escada para o segundo andar onde fica a cama de solteiro, fazer menos barulho. Impossivel nao acordar quando a pessoa que esta na parte superior desce para usar o toalette.

CASTELO DO HORROR / PÉSSIMA EXPERIÊNCIA
Foi a pior estadia, decepcionante, recepção com chão sujo. Suíte 117 cavaleiro real, estava imunda. Cheirava mal, apresentando sujeira em todos os tapetes que rodeiam a cama, teias de aranha, sujeira no frigobar e no filtro do ar condicionado. Banheiro com mofo/lodo nos azulejos/rejuntes e banheira suja (fotos), tudo em Mal estado. precário. Fedia a cachorro molhado. Pedi para trocar de quarto, fomos para a suíte 120, um pouco melhor, mas ainda assim sujo, precária, cadeiras sujas, banheiro com mofo nos azulejos, sem isolamento acústico, varanda sem segurança. Porém, tive um problema grave, minha esposa quase morre eletrocutada dentro da hidro, levou um choque da corrente elétrica que estava passando pela água que a queimou na perna. Chamamos a gerência que conferiu a gravidade do fato (vídeo e fotos). O ocorrido é grave, pois a instalação NÃO possui dispositivo de segurança, como previsto a NBR 5410 em vigor desde mar2005 - 5.1.3.2.2 diferencial-residual de alta sensibilidade como proteção adicional é obrigatório “a”, para a banheiras de hidro), o que acarretou em CHOQUE ELÉTRICO. Intenciono acionar judicialmente o Hotel.com e o Castelo de Itaipava, pela quase fatalidade ocorrido no interior do hotel na noite do dia 09 para o dia 10de jan2025. Hotel sem segurança, pois há uma visitação de pessoas de fora, não hóspedes. Tapetes imundos no interior da suíte e corredores. Antiguidade não implica em sujeira e mal cuidado. Perdemos a diária e a paz nesse local.

Restaurante péssimo
Cafe da manhã é restaurante são ruins. Definitivamente nao valem a pena. O quarto estava limpo e organizado, mas muito barulhento. De madrugada, se ouve bem alto o ruído de carros na estrada. Há um quadro no quarto informando os valores de cada item do quarto caso seja danificado. Achei essa cobrança ostensiva um tanto mesquinharia.

No geral estadia foi boa, experiência de se hospedar em castelo, atividades externas, pedalinho, visitação ao castelo em qualquer horário, restaurantes temáticos ao lado. Porém, apareceram 3 baratas gigantescas no quarto. Acredito que por haver brechas nas vidraças dos quartos e como há muita área verde externa, fatalmente elas acabam entrando nos quartos. Além disso, me foi cobrado uma taxa extra de 88 reais no check-out, sem explicar bem o motivo, já que já havia pago o valor integral junto ao Hoteis.com
