I lived in the Jackson area for over 20 years and recently moved home to Louisiana. This was my first time back to visit my son. I had always wanted to see the Jackson Hilton; it was a real landmark to me. I as very excited to check in, but I was immediately disappointed. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable; however, from the lobby to the rooms, the whole place was dark and gloomy, with the ugliest carpet I have ever seen. The facilities were not maintained properly: lights were out, tv and refrigerators didn't work properly, fixtures and furnishings were old and worn. Parking was atrocious. The whole place could do with a good cleaning, refurbishing, and a good coat of paint and new wallpaper. And please get rid of the carpet. As far as the restaurant is concerned, the wait staff did the best they could but service was terrible because we had to wait 10-15 minutes to be waited on (the second morning; the first morning, they didn't even acknowledge our existence.) Management of this Hilton must be improved if you intend to remain an important landmark in Jackson.

I want a refund! The property allowed us to check in early. However, once we checked in, got off the elevator we smelled mold that came from old towels located under the non working ice machine! We opened the door to our room, noticed multiple red stains on carpet. We called downstairs to let them know, they acted surprised! The rooms had nats flying around. The ceiling had stained spots on them, stuff was coming off the ceiling into the bed. The bathroom had stains on the wallpaper. The outlets in the bathroom were very old. The bodywash they had screwed into the wall was coming off of the wall. I was truly disappointed at this hotel, because the photos posted on Expedia, doesnt line up with the in person presentation. I also invited other out of town family members to stay there. They were very disappointed. ! of their tubs was stopped up & quit working. My other family member had roaches in their room, so all of my family members had to be moved to other rooms. I am a business traveler, so i frequent different hotels every month. This hotel needs a total overhaul and a definite renovation. This hotel doesnt align with a real Hilton property. Please take notice to this review and act accordingly!!

Please dont book here. This hotel is not only in need of some extensive renovating but some houskeeping tips as well!! There was brown/red stains on my toilet, hair all over the bathroom, there was even a chip left on the floor which cleary all showed signs of the prior guest and poor housekeeping services. Definitely does NOT MEET Hilton standards. Lobbh is beautifully decorated for Christmas but once you get past that...its downhill.
