The Cottage on College Street

The Cottage is very cozy and spacious with 690 sq feet to spread out in; it is decorated with a mixture of vintage and industrial decor. Visitors will have complete privacy within the house at all times, but with our home close by, we are always happy to help should you need anything!

We are located in Downton Brandon in the Historic District. The Cottage is a guest house seated behind our home; it is a very quiet place, and it is great for working individuals, couples seeking a fun concert experience, or families participating in ball tournaments. We are approximately 10 miles from Jackson, so staying here is very convenient as well as very safe.

The house has been completely updated to include a bathroom (which also has one step up) with double vanities, a walk-in shower that includes a shaving ledge, and a washer/ dryer unit. There is a full kitchen that is well supplied for those that want to prepare meals and a bar top that accommodates 4 people. The bedroom is it's own room with closing doors for privacy; there are 2 steps going down into the bedroom. In the living room, we have a sleeper sofa along with a large 50" TV with an Amazon Fire Stick, use of our YouTube TV account (in lieu of cable), and even many DVDs to choose from if you want to go Old School! We provide all paper products, shower products and all linens. We even provide niceties such as some bottled water, coffee for the Keurig, snacks, and other small things to make it feel welcoming. We also have a small patio table outside with a wood burning fire pit for your use when the time comes.

The cottage was absolutely perfect for us to stop on our way to our daughter’s house in Louisiana. Everything was clean and the owners go WAY above your average VRBO stay. We will definitely be back. The town is great and has lots of places to eat and be entertained. Highly recommended.

We just had a quick stay while we were passing through for the Jackson Rodeo so we were only there long enough to sleep but we had no issues while we were there. Location was perfect and seemed to be in a safe part of town. We went to the local pizza joint for dinner in downtown Brandon and we really enjoyed it.

Very easy to access. Decor was well picked. Details were fabulous: I could tell there was a water softener. The bedside lamp had a USB port for charging devices. Towels were plush. Lots of movie selections. Thoughtful snacks were provided. Welcome binder had all the info a guest needed.

Great property and owners will stay again.
My wife and I were traveling from East Texas to our grandson's graduation in Charlottesville, VA. We were running late and did not arrive until 10. The check in was seamless and the property description was very accurate. Worked well traveling with our doodle. Property was clean and had lots of perks like, coffee, breakfast muffins and some candy. Cute little town and the house was located in a great residential neighborhood. I encourage you to book this property on your travels.
