They can do better
The resort is tired. There are a lot of places where a scrub brush or a coat of paint would have made a much better impression to us. We saw enough staff to take on tasks like this while the resort was as quiet as it was (we stayed Sat-Tues in November) but they were not focused on cleaning or maintenance. Lots of grunge and lots of rust. Food overall and menu options were hit or miss... we dined at the lobby bar, falcons nest, and marche. Marche was a standout for us during both breakfast and lunch. Overall, next time we will choose another resort.

What a beautiful view from the rooms!!! The pool/beach area was spectacular. Room was clean, Staff was AMAZING, great choices for food/drinks right on property. Only thing I would suggest (and its the smallest of things) is having 2 suitcase stands so we dont need to open one on the floor

Wonderful resort vibe without the all inclusive. You can wander the property on the trails and walk to shopping or restaurants. The pools were incredible. Best part was the ocean facing patio that had sun/moon rise views. To fall asleep and wake up to ocean waves crashing was amazing. There’s a lot of walking if you don’t use valet for your car. Theres even alot of walking to get to our hotel room, depending on where your room is. Not a complaint. Room could use some updating, but overall we were pleased with our stay and will definitely come back.

A couple of items. First of all while "dog friendly" we were denied access to shuttles (which were necessary as I have difficulty walking) because we had a small dog. We were never advised this at check in. Second we did not receive the room we booked and were downgraded significantly to an extremely older part of the resort (maybe a 3 star room at best) as this was these were the designated" rooms for guests with pets. The room was very old, very dated furniture and waking up in the morning we had small worms in the washroom. They also charge a non refundable fee (not a security deposit ) of $200.00 US regardless of the number of days if you bring a dog. This may be a great resort, but not if you have a dog.

Enjoyed our stay. Should have better lighting around the pool and walkways. It is very dark around the steps at night. I would be weary of anyone elderly or young children walking around in the evening. Very hard to see. Other than that, we had a great time.
