I booked this property based on the location. We were meeting family with Jacksonville being the midway point, and Salt Air Inn was less than 100 yards from Poe's Tavern, our venue for the night.
Honestly, we were simply looking for a place to sleep for the night, but Salt Air Inn was astonishing excellent. First, the staff sent us a welcome text the morning of the stay with lots of helpful information, along with an invitation to check in early if needed. Upon arrival, we were offered complimentary drinks and snacks, and personally shown to our room and everything pointed out as needed. I asked about walking to our destination, and was told that walking would be much better than driving and looking for parking. Given it was misting a bit, they even offered to loan us umbrellas. The facility appears to be older, given its design, but the room we stayed in was immaculately clean, well equiped, and thoroughly renovated. Good wifi and usb chargers on the bedside lamps. Modern LED lighting made the room bright when needed, and blackout curtains made it dark when desired. I have stayed in many hotels, including 4-5 star rated facilities, but never had the personal service we experienced here. Any future trips to the Jacksonville area will result in this being number one on my list. Excellent staff and fantastic facility for the price. Even received a personalized thank you text upon arriving home. Highly highly recommend.
