A great place to Stay
My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Naila Bagh Palace. The hotel is the home of the former Prime Minister of Jaipur during the 19th Century and remains in the family. It reminds me of the Marigold Hotel from the Movie. In its day this place was a grand residence and it has retained its character. The staff are great and the food is awesome. The cook at the Naila Bagh restaurant is the best. You will love his Indian cooking and the way he spices his food. The grounds at this hotel have beautiful gardens . The surrounding neighborhood is not the best, but the hotel is well secluded and security is very good. There is also a very good night club associated within this property.

Heritage Home
We were based here for 2 weeks, after a while the atmosphere soaked into our daily lives. The staff were very attentive, even helping me with my flights. The pool was a welcome retrieve from the heat. The palace dogs kept my daughter happy and slept by our door all night. Nothing was too much trouble at all.

Amazing place to stay
The staff here was amazing, very friendly and attentive to your needs. The property itself is beautiful, and the building is over 500 years old, so it has a lot of great character and charm. The furnishings are all very impressive and the rooms are big and comfortable. I would recommend staying here.

Nice surprise
The hotel is dated, but that is to be expected from a 500 year old facility. Staff is very friendly and I felt very welcomed.

Best accommodation in India
Mr Pareesh the manager is truly proud of this heritage building and rightly so. The staf, under his direction, are very attentive and work hard to ensure every aspect of your stay is first rate. The pool, peacocks and luxurious accommodations were a very welcome respite.

Comfortable, quaint, heritage hotel
I stayed during the Jaipur Literature Festival for over a week. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms, 'deluxe', which was comfortable and decorated in the period style. Govind, the new manager is bringing in new ideas and approaches to the hotel, which are needed. I was looked after by the staff who were very friendly and helpful. On India Republic Day, we had a lot of fun over breakfast while the staff dressed in traditional clothes and India colours. I ate several times at the hotel, which offered a fair selection of dishes that were freshly cooked to order. The hotel is set back from the street so mostly quiet, and a local school is nearby, but not noisy. Although there were many weddings and parties in nearby buildings at night, which were a bit noisy for other guests who had rooms near the front of the hotel. The way I think about this hotel is a cross between The Marigold Hotel (film) and 'Fawlty Towers' (TV series). So although somewhat ramshackly, and wait service that varied, the overall experience was comfortable and I felt looked after as a woman traveling on her own. For a boutique property some of the finer expectations are missing, such as high quality bedding, face tissues in the room, face cloths, a small refrigerator, electrical charging points, and an iron and hair dryer are only available on request. However, definitely worth staying in, to enjoy the heritage site and the experience.

Nice hotel. Close to all sightseeing spots
It was a wonderful expeirnce staying at this heritage property. It is an erstwhile palace converted to part hotel. The rooms are very well done. It is fitted with all modern facilities. The rooms are very quiet and private. The ambience is very nice. The food is good as well. The bar is excellent The restaurant staff is very courteous but not very efficient. This is not a chain hotel so pls do not expect a typical hotel environment. I would definitely recommend this place.

A tired hotel attempting to live off past glories!
A most disappointing experience. We expected a palace. We got a tired and shabby hotel, living off past glories ( apparently Bill Clinton visited/stayed several years ago). The room was poorly equipped and un-modernised, while the bathroom sink was cracked and the toilet seat stained with the mark of cigarettes having been stubbed out. When I commented on my disappointment no-one seemed surprised. The poorest and most expensive hotel during our stay in India.

Ok Ok hotel, location is only advantage
See I havent got anything against this hotel. Yes its a heritage hotel , but I am seriously disappointed by their services and upkeep of the hotel. The foremost and the most horryfying thing I faced in this hotel was that one evening when I returned ( it was raining) to the hotel , I found that hotel entry gate was knee deep n water and it was very dirty water, I thought for a moment that is there a flood coming near by or wat. The second issue I faced was that they have not got much option in dinner and lunch menu & I personally think they are overpriced. Another critical issue that I have is with service, when I came back hotel from a good rain , my shoes were very wet, so i requested the manager next day if he can get my shoes kept in the open or somewere near heater so that they can be dried, no action was taken on the same for two days. Only good thing about this hotel is its location- very very near to jaipur old city and tourist spots.

A quaint stay!
We stayed only for one night at this quaint lil' "Palace". True to its word it is old! Antiquated ~ but marvellously so! The pool is great! So were the rooms and the breakfast buffet. They gave us a free ugrade to the MahaRaja Suite. Cozy... Cute.. and Absolutely lovely! We had a direct view of the pool and looking out in the night after lights out in the moonlight, with the backdrop the very symbols of Jaipur's Charm ~ Beautiful! We loved our stay!

Wish it was better...
This hotel could be a real treasure BUT it lacks the warmth of hospitality from the management team, which frankly, just lets the whole place down. From arrival there is no real sense of pleasure from the Management, no smiles or real welcoming feel. I feel sad to say this but on on our 3 week India trio this was our least favourite place we stayed. The hotel staff themselves are nice though. The hotel building itself is old and rustic and does has charming rooms, which some may say need upgrading however we thought were nice. The ambience of the hotel does get stars knocked off however as the owners/managers just give off a depressing feeling.

Expensive but safe, central and pleasant
I stayed in the hotel for just under a week, having travelled to other parts of India. The hotel was a refuge from the busy City surrounding it and really really comfortable. The food is excellent, though expensive. Service was great, we were cared for on arrival and regularly greeted throughout the stay. I made the mistake of going directly to the hotel for 1 night because hotels.com said it was full, so paid a more expensive rate (taxes on top).

Almost, but not quite....
The hotel was fine, and actually was good value for the money paid, but it could have been fabulous. The bulding is a lovely old palace, set in a garden, but it lacks the attantion and maintenance to bring it up to standard. Some electrical plugs falling out of the wall were not safe and the pool was not clean. Our room was large and very comfortable, but curtains were just a piece of fabric tacked on to the wall. The rooms at the front of the hotel may be disturbed by a disco that can run late into the night, but the rooms at the back of the hotel would be quieter.

Beautiful Palace
Gorgeous place. Very nice staff. I loved the peacocks everywhere. The pool was refreshing in the heat of Jaipur. It was a short autorickshaw ride away from all of the sites. My only complaint is that they didn't have very cold bottled water/drinks.

Warm family feel to a Palace that is still a Home
From the moment the Manager, Raj, met us at the door of our car with a warm welcome, we knew that we'd chosen the right place to stay in Jaipur. The atmosphere was enhanced by the friendliness and smiles of all of the staff at Naila Bagh Palace. The Palace is full of antiques and artifacts, creating a truly wondrous feeling of stepping back in time. We were fortunate to stay over Holi and the owner and his family went out of their way to ensure that all guests, staff and friends experienced Holi in all its colour, with a private party that we will always remember! Speaking with other guests, we discovered that many were staying for their second, third or fourth visit. We thoroughly recommend a stay at Naila Bagh Palace.
