Family weekend staycation
Booked the garden wing 2 bedrooms suite at this hotel for my family members'weekend staycation. The room is big and have nice amenities but there are few things that need improvement. - The room key is so outdated and big. It is an old room key. And they were told that if it was misplaced, my family has to pay around $430 to replace it. - The TV in one of the bedroom wasn't working. We informed the hotel staff about it but they didnt offer any solution - The shower head in one of the bathroom is not working. - There is no hairdryer in the suite even though it is a standard amenity. - The pool access from the garden wing is always locked. When they went to the pool through the lobby, they were told not to.

Very good but some inconveniences.
Very good large room Las Vegas style. However, utilities in room and bath room are not so convenience. Kettle ia placed in the bottom shelf, hard to use. Bathroom should be larger.

I really loved doing laps in their swimming pool. I swam twice a day in the early morning before breakfast and late in the afternoon. Pool area was perfect to relax, read the Jakarta Post and have lunch. The buffet breakfast had lots of selections but I always chose the Indonesian offerings. Very tasty and a little spicy. I was always met with a cheerful hello and smile by the staff. Their Italian restaurant had the greatest pizza and their Japanese's restaurant had a wide selection of choices with a nice garden outside. The Hotel Borobudur is truly an oasis in the city of Jakarta. I spent two marvelous at the Hotel Borobudur and would like to return again someday.

Old Style Hotel in Central Jakarta
Great place to stay in Jakarta and experience one of the city’s “classic” hotels. It’s by no means modern or newly renovated but it has the best pool/gardens/fitness center of all hotels in Jakarta and an old school vibe that transports you back to Suharto’s time. Seemed to be mostly well connected Indonesians staying at the hotel and a few foreigners who looked to be regulars. They could use a deep clean on the carpets and furnishings and allowing smoking at the lobby bar is a bit of a turnoff but the pool/fitness facilities trump everything else and I will stay there again.
