Palm Crest has everything to be a 5 stars accommodation but how they operate right now is only, in our standard, a 2 stars accommodation. And here is why, in our 10 nights stay I sent them 2 emails saying that we would be arriving at 2pm, at 2 pm we were there and nobody was there to welcome us, I emailed them, no reply, texted them, no reply, called them, waited 2 minutes on hold and then I was told somebody would arrive in 45 minutes. This made us frustrated as I alerted them to the time we were checking in, but ok. At 3pm a boy arrive, he opened the gate and our unit, unfortunately he didn’t give us a tour, showed how the unit operated, or gave us any instructions or at least showed us where the laundry was. Later on, with our neighbors we found that that nobody got a tour, we always stay in Vilas like this in the Caribbean and we always received a tour, something for sure they could improve. The unit is great, everything that you need to relax, spacious, great view. The kitchen needs help, no mixing bowl, I made salads in a cooking pot as I had no other choice, it was unfortunate that everything smelled like eggs, we are vegan, so to get a cup smelling like eggs was absolutely disgusting! The cleaning could be better, there was a dirty towel in the bathroom cabinet, which smelled, the kitchen could be cleaned way better as the cabinets were dusty and had crumbled food left there.
