We were allowed early check in, but the desk staff was disorganized and there seemed to be confusion at the time. Although we told the gentleman that we had a room reserved through Hotels.com and provided him my name and the confirmation number, he gave us a room (which we paid for upon check-in, as were the arrangements). However, this ended up being a totally different and new booking. We were charged a few dollars more than the discounted rate quoted from Hotels.com and our our reservation (and credit towards a free night stay) were cancelled because they could not cancel the payment made for the room and change the booking to the Hotels.com reservation since it was paid as another booking.
The room was clean, but there was a half eaten tray of food across the hall from us our entire stay.
The hotel was not heated (we weren’t expecting it to be, but this might take others by surprise).
The location was on a Main Street, so we had a short drive to the sites downtown.
The view from our balcony was nice.
