Traditional 18th century house with courtyard & pool in historic pueblo blanco

Stunning conversion of an 18th century convent, Casa del Piano is located on the nicest pedestrianised street in the village, a short distance from the main square. A beautiful plant filled courtyard with a 3m x 4m plunge pool (fenced off), with two separate outdoor terraces, there's plenty of room to relax and socialise. Step back in time and enjoy the oak beams, terracotta floors and spacious sitting rooms, where you can read, play games, watch TV and catch up with family and friends.
The space
You can feel the history of the house as you sit amongst the twisty oak beams and admire the beautiful old terracotta tiles. But you have all the mod cons that you need too to have a 'home from 'home' holiday - well-equipped kitchen, TV, washing machine, dryer, good WiFi. There's a separate office in the house if you need to work while you're away and a choice of sitting rooms - the main one upstairs but a smaller one by the dining room, great for a pre-dinner drink or card game. Three double bedrooms, one with twin beds and two bathrooms - the house works really well for a family or for a group of adult friends.

You can also rent a double-bedded studio apartment if it's available in a separate house at the other end of the courtyard. This gives you space for 8 people. If you haven't rented the studio, studio guests have no access to the courtyard area or the main house.

(Although the house is called casa del piano, there is no longer a piano in the house).

Fantastic
We returned to Jimena some 40 years after our last visit. Amazing that the village has barely changed. The property is spectacular and situated on the prettiest street in town and only a short walk from the main square and restaurants. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The plunge pool was ideal for cooling down, in what was a very hot week in Andalusia. Jimena is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding areas. Would love to return in a cooler season to do some hiking in the surrounding beautiful hills. The owner was very helpful as was Belen, who looks after the house. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
