Perfect couples stay
Absolutely perfect! Their queen cottage was so perfect for a quick little couples weekend. The bed was super comfy and everything was clean without that chemical smell that some places have. I absolutely will be coming back. The fact that it was super affordable as well made it a no brainier for future stays in the area.

Couldnt check in. Nobody on site and waited for over 2 hours for a response from texts and phone messages. Drove 3 hours, was tired, needed shower and to relax before meeting up with old friends. Had to find another place to stay. So didnt get shower or to relax before our night got started.

My advice: STAY AWAY. I actually did not stay, but it was because the people running this place clearly do not care (or do not know?) how to deliver basic customer service. First: I arrived and no one was there. I called and no one answered. I had deliberately chosen the space as well as arranged a short drive day so I could do my work (I am a freelance writer) and this was not helpful for me. Also, the location was remote (about 15 or so km off the 44, my bad for not checking that closer) and surroundings looked sketchy, so I just got myself back down to the 44 where there were a million motels. By the time I checked in somewhere else, I received two text messages from Westport Inn - one asking me to please text them my photo ID. RED FLAG! This is a WARNING to anyone else who is concerned with identity theft. The person texting me never at any time introduced themselves, I did not at all feel safe sending my ID by text, then they said they "don't need to come, we do it all remotely." Yeah, nope! So I kindly replied hey, I found somewhere else, I could not wait for staff who were nowhere to be found, I felt uncomfortable being in that location alone with zero staff onsite, and further was in no way about to text someone my ID. Then they never replied! Wow! That's literally basic customer service! A simple "sorry it didn't work out" was all I needed but nope. So in the end, I made about a $100 mistake with these guys since they clearly won't refund me. Woops!

The property was very unique. Quiet. Cute cabins. I did have a hard time getting hold of anyone. No one in the office, had to text the person. We were in need of of toilet paper and I was told they would get us some ASAP. Ended up having to go to store to buy some as they only had one roll in the unit. Seems like if you are renting a room for several days, there should be at least an extra roll put in the cabin. So I would have to say that service was a bit lacking. Other than that our stay was nice.

It was awful went to jump into our bed after our show and it was 130 am. I then noticed hair all over the pellow. I started looking at the comforter and sheets and also found hair all over it 😭😔 we then drove the hour drive home because there was nobody to complain to about it! We have tried to call and leave messages about to them and keep getting ignored! Safe to say that was $100 wasted 😔

My stay at Wesrport Inn was delightful! The tiny cottages are very clean and well equipped. The decor was fun and nostalgic. It is conveniently located and safe. If you are traveling to Joplin i highly recommend It.

Lovely, clean and comfortable, with good facilities, but a little on the snug side, You can even sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy some afternoon / evening sun. However you are right next to route 66.
