Wonderful stay at Lakeside Acres
We had a wonderful week away from city living at Lakeside Acres. The home is cozy, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need to slow down and relax. The kitchen had all we needed to make meals. We loved kayaking, playing corn toss, and grilling on the outdoor gas grill. The home is situated between Hustisford, Juneau and Horicon. We enjoyed hiking Dodge County Ledge Park, eating at Lake Street Inn in Hustisford, and exploring Horicon. We highly recommend a stay at Lakeside Acres. Ox-Bow Marine is right next door if you want to rent a pontoon boat during your stay!

Clean bright place and nice location
The accommodations were nice and clean. The host was great and helpful, she even helped me get a replacement tire for my fishing boat trailer. We were able to catch bullheads of the dock in the evening and caught quite a few catfish off a rocky point they told us about. The kids had fun catching there first fish. The fire table worked well in the evening to gather around and have s’mores. They had kayaks and a canoe available and several games in the garage. We did use one of the small kayaks which the kids enjoyed. The lake is shallow, so you will need to pay attention if you are boating around. Overall, it was a nice relaxing stay.

Lakehouse
We've stayed at a few lakehouses. What we like about them is enjoying clean, clear water, swimming, fishing and kayaking. This lakehouse was clean had ample space. Host was responsive which was great. But we didn't enjoy the lake all that much. Pro: Large lake Clean lakehouse Lots of catfish and carp to catch Owners let us borrow two additional kayaks for free Con: Water was not clear very muddy with suspended algae Lake was not swimmable because it is only 4 ft deep and had a undesirable odor Goose problem that left fecal matter all over the backyard which left it smelling pretty bad No firepit, the propane firepit just wasn't fun Property is right next to a business so the view wasn't nice, not a secluded lakehouse

We stayed Mon night through Friday. We did spend most of our time at the property. The lake setting is beautiful, and had excellent weather to enjoy it. The house is well kept, nothing fancy. We had everything we needed.

So far so good!
We had a lovely time at the lake house. Overall! We spent 3 days with friends here and enjoyed the summer sun, lake and a BBQ. Unfortunately, VRBO did not let our host know that we bring service dogs (trained, insured). That caused Carla to message us and send an upcharge. Not an issue at all, but bad communication between VRBO and the management company/host. I tried to message her but no response. The other issue was that she evicted us. It was part my fault. I have done a mistake when booking! Honest mistake wanted to check out Friday but only booked until Thursday. We were out with our friends on a 90 degree day, came back and our stuff was nicely packed outside. The sign said we cannot enter the proper anymore, should leave the key and we’re on camera. She would call the police if we do try to enter. We were devastated. With a 13 months old baby not so much fun. Carla tried to reach me via VRBO. I have a German phone and had no missed calls. Maybe she tried to call me as well. The thing was, we forgot a charger inside and messaged her. After 4 mins the handy man showed up and let us in. We assumed the property was booked for this night. As we would have of course paid for another night. But no chance. No booking this night. We stayed in a hotel and our friend had to pick us up after we reorganised our luggage. What a shocker! But at the end of the day. It is what it is. The property itself is nice. Old but clean. The lake is beautiful. Very natural. Boat rental right next to the house. I am not sure if I would book again after this experience. But I can recommend the house for a short stay.

Fun in the Sun on Sinissippi Lake
Warm sunshine in the day and cool breezes at night made for wonderful sleeping. This cozy home has everything you need for your Wisconsin lakeside vacation. We loved the lake and didn’t mind at all the squish of the mud bottom between our toes. We also rented a pontoon from the property owners whom run the marina next door. They are such wonderful hosts and will make sure your stay on Sinissippi Lake is a good one I’m certain.

Quiet getaway
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean and easy to fine. We enjoyed the canoe very much. Played several of the games at the house. Dvd player needs an HDMI cable, can't hook it up to tv at this time. The marina where we rented a pontoon was just next door which made it very smooth to check out and return.

Perfect weekend at the lake
We had a wonderful time at this little house on the lake. The location was perfect! So easy to get to and having the marina and boat lunch right next door made putting our boat on and off of the trailer a breeze. The house was so clean and comfortable. We didn’t want for anything: it was perfect for our family of 4 and we look forward to returning in the future…we may bring another family with next time. The patio and yard space by the lake was a dream. We had a very nice time sitting out while our young children were able to play. We loved how close this house is to multiple little towns with a lot to offer. Thank you so much for offering this perfect little getaway house! See you in the future! The Eitens

Great place!
My daughter and I wanted a quiet, pretty place for some girl time and just chilling out. This was perfect and exceeded our expectations! The house is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into the place. Both bedrooms are updated, the bath and kitchen have everything you need, presented well. There is a full size fridge for food and leftovers, and tools/pans to make a nice meal. We arrived in the middle of a huge snowstorm and were delighted to find the attached garage! And I don't know if it is standard service or if it was a coincidence, but a man we refer to as our 'frontloader angel' came and cleared out the drive for us. While this home exceeded our expectations for a winter stay, the kayaks, fishing gear, fire pit and dock make me think it's a really fun place to be in warmer weather. It is directly on a nice lake, and is by a marina, which provides boat rentals. Great find!

Close to lake!
I stayed at this rental to get a change of scenery. It's so close to the lake and there's great views from the house. The home was clean and inviting! Only downside is that there's a marina/boat launch right next door, so it's not super private or secluded. That was ok for me, but just noting for others!

Great space and place to rejuvenate
Went here with my two boys to re-set during Covid-19. Property had everything we needed. Too cold to use the kayaks and canoe, but gives us something to look forward to in the summer. Had firewood for us to used and lovely back yard to grill and relax. Lots of clean bedding. A pullout in the living room for extra sleeping space or cuddling to watch a movie. Evening fishing was fun! Wi-fi wasn't the best, but usually, we wouldn't require it. Eager to come back!

A nice, quiet getaway
This house has such a great view and was just what we needed for a weekend away! It is very clean and well kept, has all of the kitchen supplies you need, and a great backyard (although this time of year, also a lot of goose poop). At night, it was quiet and relaxing with a bonfire and a fantastic view of the stars! The water is really mucky on the bottom, so not ideal for swimming unless you stay in a tube. We had an 18 month old with us and the bedroom had plenty of space for a pack n play. We would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay here! Looks Just like the picture and view is beautiful! Geese poop all over the yard so be ready for that. They have water on patio to wash off shoes and our daughters wheelchair tires! No luck fishing off dock but we knew lake was not good fishing. Carla is wonderful making sure you have anything you need! I would come back again. We rented her pontoon for 4 hrs one day and was a nice trip on water.

Nice private feel
This place suited our need well. It was nice to have a contactless check in, but know assistance was nearby if needed. The private dock was nice. Water was best suited for kayaking and canoeing as it is extremely shallow even in the middle of the lake and the bottom is squishy mud feel, so swimming isn’t really possible. But they provide a canoe and and two kayaks, which we enjoyed. We also brought some tubes to float on. Kids liked the pullout sofa in the living room for fort making time. The drive into the property was pretty. Idk if I’d stay a week because of the swimming, but a few days was nice.

Almost 5 star
Overall we enjoyed staying at this property. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is the bathroom wasn't as clean as we would have liked and the property's proximity to the marina. Lots of Canadian geese poop all over the grass. Owner was polite and it was easy to rent.

Perfect lakehouse for the whole family.
We all had a great time staying at the lakehouse. Carla was great to work with and the house was super clean and comfy. We brought our boat and spent many hours on the lake. Our boys loved the tree with the rope swings that is located very close to the property. They also enjoyed the kayaks as well. It was nice to have A/C because it was very hot the week we were there. The A/C kept us comfortable the whole time. We would certainly stay again.

Absolutely lovely stay!
What a wonderful trip to the lake. Upon arrival, it was a relaxing vibe. Check in literally could not have been easier and the owner was responsive all along the way. The lake house was sparkling clean and oh-so adorable. I especially enjoyed all the lake decor, reminding us to just chill and take it in. The kitchen had all the basics we needed, and even a few extras. Proximity to the lake was insane. It's literally in the backyard and when we had some unfortunate weather one a couple of days, we could still enjoy the lake by sitting in the living room and watching from the large picture window. The kayaks were a super great add and the opportunity to rent a paddle board eight next door without transporting was amazing! I had looked forward to lots of swimming but that is one thing to note (and likely the ONLY downside of this property)... The water is extremely shallow. According to local intel, the lake is 8' at it's deepest point and despite swimming out quite far, I never hit that depth. I couldn't do any swimming because there's no opportunity to wade in the water unless you want to stand in mud up to your knees. But everything else was phenomenal, so we'll.be back for sure!

Almost perfect
The property is amazing and the location is prime. The water is not very swim-able, but the kayaks and canoe were fun. Everything would have been perfect except there is a bit of a lack of privacy. We felt a bit watched by the people that were working at the marina which is right next door to the house. Additionally, around check out time, the cleaning people I’m assuming were watching us. This is fine but we just felt watched and rushed.
