"There’s no question it’s a beautiful home overlooking Lake Como, with a charm that is remjniscent of something out of a Harry Potter novel. Unfortunately, the home itself self has a fair amount of deferred maintenance. Lightbulbs were burned out in master bathroom, the door handle on the washing machine was broken, certain shutters didn’t work, there is no air conditioning in any room and some of the wiring is unlikely to be up to code, although I dont know that for sure. My daughter’s bedroom had wires under her bed that were electrically taped together. Yeah We booked a three day stay but checked out day early and moved to modern air-conditioned hotel . The managing agent from Wonderful Italy was superb, and met us at the property to show us in. Excellent service from her. It’s just that the property owner needs to spend some time and effort upgrading the items that are lacking, Then it would be a timeless property."
