Room was clean and quiet. Good price for a quick overnight stay. The girl at the front desk wasnt to overly friendly, but i guess a working body is a working body. Breakfast area was super clean and well stocked.

Bait and switch! Terrible customer service!
We booked a smoking room online but were told when we got there that they didn't have one available. Even though they didn't have the room we paid for they refused to give us a refund and were pretty non-apologetic about the whole thing. There was an absolutely overwhelming smell of chemicals and the beds were like sitting on plywood. Ultimately, we left and drove an hour down the road to a nicer hotel for half the money. They still refused to give us a refund even though we didn't stay, but hotels.com was awesome about it and gave us a credit anyway.

We arrived at 2am. There was an evelope with a key that said room one-twenty-five. We looked and there was not a room 125 in the hotel at America's Best value. No one picked up the phone number that was for after hours. Confused, we tried every room with a 1 and a 5 thinking they just made an error. 45 minutes later, we looked at the invoice that said Budget Inn, not America's Best. BUDGET INN WAS THE SCARY LOOKING HOTEL ACROSS THE STREET WHICH WE DID NOT RESERVE! The key worked there. The room smelled really stale and unpleasant. The next day we called and asked the manager for a refund as we did not book the Budget Inn. They refused because we slept in the room. There were no other alternatives in Kadoka SD at 3:30am. I would not recommend this hotel.

Night shift girl could cheer up a bit and welcome you. Or at least acknowledge you when you walk up to the desk. And both coffee pots were completely empty at 8:30am I don’t know if it was because the girl was outside talking the whole time or the fact that disrespectful people were filling their tumblers, or both. I went to the nearest gas station and purchased coffee.

For a single night, it was ok. Check-in person was quite surly, morning person was ok. It’s surrounded by gravel parking lots for neighboring businesses. Room doors don't close on their own and then make an annoying sound until you close them all the way. Breakfast had the usual choices but the biscuits were burned on the bottom. On the plus side, it was clean and quiet, and plenty of really hot water for showering!

Very small dining area and lack of seating. Plus you're not able to take breakfast to your room. They did provide a discount at a local restaurant, and that helped, but we expected to eat as part of the room price since it said breakfast included.
