The hotel is situated on beautiful grounds. There are a number of walking trails within the grounds including a trail up a hill with great views over the surrounding valley. Maybe 90 minutes walk, a decent level of fitness and good shoes required, but there are several shorter jungle trails.
There’s a restaurant on site with Thai prices (ie:cheap) amd much of the produce is grown on site. You can walk through the area where produce is being grown.
The room itself was adequate. No tv and the wifi was so poor as to be useless. No other phone reception available either, although apparently AIS gets service.
Hotel is along a very quiet country road. Maybe the last 1km or so is dirt and pot hole filled, but manageable in a small car with some care.
Staff were friendly enough but little to no English spoken during our stay.
The main reason to stay here is a pretty good one, being that it is one of the closest hotels to the entrance of Kaeng Krachan National Park. About 15km drive but there literally wasn’t anything closer that was open during the pandemic, and perhaps only two places that would be closer if they were open which both looked rather basic.
There are no shops or other services within about 15km of the hotel, so come prepared.
Would definitely recommend it if the national park is your destination but aside from that there’s little reason to go.
The hotel has its own website which is a pretty accurate summary of what you can expect.
