Or in the colder months, get cosy and snuggle up in front of the fireplace, throw on a DVD and enjoy the view.

Head out on an adventure, maybe to see the marine life with Whale Watch Kaikoura or the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway. When you need supplies or a treat from a cafe, it's only a short 5-minute drive to the centre of Kaikoura with all it's cafe's, restaurants and shops. Be sure to get out onto 'Tom's Track' a great 20-minute walk over the hill to South Bay with spectacular views well worth viewing and lovely secluded swimming spot.

Okay but...
The house was lovely and well presented. However we experienced a very wet day during our stay and were disappointed that we couldn't get effective heating out of the heat pump or find a clothes airer to dry wet clothing.

Nice house but no hot water and little care from the owners to sort out or rectify
House was nice but we had no hot water. The property manager couldn’t resolve it during our stay so no hot water for two out of our three day stay.
