The Huge Lanai is the most used area. You will love the Ocean Front Blue Waters, Blue Skies, and Palm Trees. Wake up to the Ocean sounds and Birds!!
The lanai has a Koa Bar, Front bar, Teak dining table, Couch, Chairs, and lounges. Partial cover for dining, workspace. Half is open for Vitamin D, Sunshine! Flowers of Plumeria for Sweet Fragrance.
The main house has authentic Shoji Sliding doors, high beam open ceiling. Floors are of hardwood. Opens to the grand living area, comfortable couches. Pull out sofa, and single lounge twin bed sizes, great for sleeping too.
The kitchen is well equipped with all your needs. Love a gas stove, dishwasher, double door refrigerator, toaster, blender, microwave, crock pot, rice cooker, coffee maker, and coffee grinder. Outside is a gas BBQ.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed. AC and Ceiling Fan. (Please
turn off while you are not on the premises, including lights).
Closet, and cabinet. The master bath has a walk-in shower.
The second bedroom/ queen bed. AC and Ceiling fan. Private entry is off of the lanai.
Bath has a shower, toilet, and sink. Closet and cabinet.

4 minutes' Walk to Kahalu'u Beach known as the Best Snorkel Beach on the entire Island of Hawaii. Fishes Galore, Turtles, and Hawaiian monk seals. Surf lessons with two lifeguard stands. The park has covered pavilions, picnic tables, bathrooms, and showers. Reef Talk has a small information center to get you familiar of our environment and protecting our resources. Please do not disturb the Turtles!
Keauhou Shopping Center One mile away, is a wonderful place for all your shopping needs. Farmers market every Saturday, plus live entertainment of Hawaiian Music entertainers, and Hula dancers! Lots of restaurants. Italian, Thai, Japanese, Mexican, American sports bar, and L&L fast food take out. KTA is a locally owned grocery store, with a great Deli, and bakery. Fresh Local Fish, deli with delicious local food. Sushi chef daily making fresh tasty take outs. Bank of Hawaii is in this grocery store. The US post office, theater, Long's drug store, and Urgent Care Medical.
Only 1.5 miles away is the Keauhou Yacht, you can get on a catamaran and get a coastal view. It takes you to snorkel and have lunch at the Captain Cook Monument, Kealakekua Bay. At night you can swim with the Manta Rays.
" LA'ALOA", "Magic Sands Beach", best body surfing beach is also nearby. A two-minute drive, or a 10-minute walk.
White sandy beach most of the time. Disappears during some parts of the year, due to high surf, which is why it's called Magic Sands!
"CHIEFESS PAHOEHOEIKIOKALANI" PAHOEHOE PARK, is just north, popular grassy picnic area. In ancient times this was known as a canoe landing. The mountain side was known to have a waterway, wood was brought to this area and a huge house was cited in ancient times with 50 canoe makers.
A few miles down the road are two very popular Surfing spots.
" CHIEFESS KEOLANAHIHI", STATE HISTORIC OF HOLUALOA BAY, LYMANS is a left, has a large bay, and great for the average experienced surfer.
"CHIEFESS KEAKEALANIWAHINE" OF BANYANS. This SURFING SPOT, best for the more experienced because it has more of a reef front. The waves are perfect on a good swell, especially in the winter months.
Many of our local Surf Contests are held here. Most popular contest is the Shane Dorian "Keiki SURF Classic". Fun family event, kids enter with a few can goods, and have to have good grades in school. Many professional Surfers (Kelly Slater is a regular at this event) come out to support the kids, signing autographed posters. They show the kids great surfing with an expressive Surf session. Because of Covid 19, surf contest is all being on hold.
Kailua Kona town is a Historic District is 5 miles away. Historic is Hulihe'e Palace is a must to see. Mokuaikaua Church has so much history. Lots of small shops, and once a month the street is closed for the Kokua Stroll Day. Local vendors with hand crafted items, great food, massages, and items you don't see in stores. Also, live entertainment with Hula Dancers.
The Kailua Pier has a lot of activity going on all year round. From fishing tournament, boat tours, canoe regatta races are huge here. They also race past the house!
The pier is also the start and finish of the Ironman Triathlon World Championship. Our family has been the coordinators for the Swim portion since 1982. We have our volunteers of 80 plus Surfers who has guided thousands of swimmers to a safe race, proudly of no fatality.
Here at the King Kam is also a Historic Hei'au, ancient temple.
