The Surf Hideaway is located in the heart of Kona Hawaii. This is not a fancy condo what you will get is a clean room and bath and the experience of living like a local in Hawaii we live on this site. We offer everything from mask, snorkels and fins there are also beach chairs, boogie boards for your day at the beach. Most guest use the Surf Hideaway as there first and last night on the island because of our location and price. We also love helping our guests with our local knowledge

Local Style
If you know Kona, it is definately local style (a good thing). It is great for 1 or 2 guest who want to do their thing in the village. Walking distance to all thats needed for those who want to stay young with the 10,000 steps per day. Not so much for the elderly who need to drive everywhere. I would definitely stay here again.

Host makes it comfortably and easy to stay. Super close to everything in town. I enjoyed the amenities the communal areas were cool. I was going to stay until the next day but my flight got bumped up earlier so left the same night.

We met the Host Marc who is a very welcoming and accommodating. The surf hideaway is a super cute spot. We had everything we needed and more. You are literally 5 minute’s drive from everything.

The property manager was so kind! We needed to check in early and he accommodated us with no problem! The studio was clean and a very short drive from some great restaurants! We really appreciated the manager and the space!

My flight was delayed so I arrived a day later than planned. After 28 hours travelling I was exhausted, jet lagged and in need of a comforting place to be. I was met with such a warm welcome and a beautiful place to stay. Couldn't believe how close I was to everything. Herbivores (Im vegan) was close by and somewhere I visited frequently. Safeway is a short walk away. I was travelling alone and felt so safe here. Would be back in a heart beat 💕💕

This property is beautiful and well maintained. The hosts make you feel welcome, are always around to help, but let you be as if it's you're home. They are kind, generous and well informative. We plan to stay here for all our trips to HA.

My partner and I had a great 3-night stay with Marc. The space is as described and check-in was easy. Marc was helpful in providing suggestions of activities as we had not fully fleshed out a plan. The location is great as it is walking distance to everything in town and provides a good home-base between different activities. Clean and convenient location for what we wanted for a 2 day stay. Great amenities for cooking and laundry. Only downside was noise from upstairs unit...but that's a "your miles may vary" situation. Overall a great place to stay!

The owners were so friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. The property had boogie boards, snorkel gear, and everything you need to enjoy the surrounding area. It was very clean, a prime location, and included everything we needed for an extended vacation such as cookware, towels, shower gear, etc. will stay again
