•Poor check-in—obvious entrance/reception lobby has alarms on the doors and a sign directing you to a junky cluttered glass enclosed office attached to a house in front of the hotel (possibly running a separate business from it as well). Creepy and off-putting.
•No luggage carts, typical, but the exterior door near our room was exit only, no key entry resulting in a really long walk unless you stand and hold the door open.
•Owner kept “appearing” as we were unloading, as if we were doing something nefarious.
•Noisy! I assume management/family noise, since there were very few guests at this point, but sounded like a herd of elephants above, obviously no sound proofing.
•NO COUNTER SPACE. Bathroom sink was just a porcelain sink, no hooks (except an old doorstop 7’ from the floor in an accessible room), no towel racks, just the towel storage unit which had the complimentary soaps, cups, etc. shoved on it.
•No coffee maker in the room.
•Incredibly minimal breakfast, nothing with protein.
However…
•VERY CLEAN room and bathroom, no odors at all.
•Full sized, comfy pillows, not those tiny ones hotels are using these days and there were 2 extra (for the pull-out sofa). Comfortable bed and linens.
