This resort area abounds with beautiful beaches with easy access for swimming, snorkeling & scuba-diving; street paths for walking, running & biking; calming tropical foliage for relaxing and building special memories with your “ohana” (family).

**2022 GEM Neighborhood Electric Vehicle/Low Speed Vehicle** is INCLUDED with your daily rate. Use as a second means of transportation within the Mauna Lani Resort. Take it to the beach, The Shops at Mauna Lani or Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club. Travel in safety & style with seating for four (seatbelts required) and a trunk for your belongings. All operators must be at least 18 years old & have a valid driver's license. A signed waiver will be required as part of the rental agreement.

*Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club is INCLUDED in your daily rate. Access court use of tennis/pickleball and rackets/paddles/balls, state-of-the-art facilities & equipment and a 25-meter heated lap pool. Showers & locker room facilities with towel service available.

The Recreational Center at Kulalani includes a large Ohana Pool and Spa along with a smaller "keiki" pool. There is also a short 2-lane Lap Pool and Spa "for adults only." [Please note: Renovations for the Lap Pool and Spa are tentatively scheduled for late April/May 2025.] Comfortable seating, tables, a large BBQ grill and a small refrigerator are available for your dining needs.
The Fitness Center at Kulalani includes a spa and new aerobic equipment, with a selection of weight/resistant machines & free weights.

The Shops @ Mauna Lani provide shopping, dining and various events. The Mauna Lani Auberge Collection and The Fairmont Orchid reside in this area. An exceptional Makaiwa Bay beach, with cool natural springs, can be accessed for your swimming & snorkeling enjoyment. Explore the Kalahuipua'a Historical Park and Fish Ponds nearby.

A truly spectacular view of the "five mountains" of the Kohala Mountain range, Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Hualalai and Haleakala (Maui) can be seen on clear, sunny days while driving on Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway (19).

Naupaka @ Kulalani is a beautiful 2 level air-conditioned townhouse; fully furnished with master and guest bedroom suites, 2½ bathrooms and 2 spacious covered lanais, one on each level. The wrap-around 1st level lanai has a built-in gas BBQ, bar sink with cabinets.

The 2nd level master bedroom suite has a king-size bed, a study that includes a coffee table with hidden desktop, and its own secluded lanai. The 2nd bedroom suite has a queen-size bed and is situated at the opposite end of the hallway. An AeroBed Comfort Lock Queen Air Mattress is available which can be used in the downstairs living room as another sleeping option. There is ample storage located throughout with additional bedding & towels.

Electronics & entertainment include HDTV, DVD player, cable, Netflix®, 200 Mbps internet, in-home Wi-Fi, unlimited nationwide calling, and multiple USB/ac charging outlets.

Safety equipment includes: first-aid kit, portable fire extinguisher, smoke & carbon monoxide detectors.

Bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room are fully equipped with essentials.

Beach items are located within the one-car garage: towels, rolling cooler, masks/fins/snorkels, Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrella, “Boogie” boards, toys & folding traveling wagon. Terrific Condo
My wife and I had a terrific week at this property to celebrate her birthday. The property was just as expected from the photos. The location was centrally located on the West side of the island so we could hit the resorts North of us or head towards Kona. It was also close to the new highway to take you to Hilo. The owner was easy to get in contact with and did a brief orientation when we first arrived over the phone.

Amazing - start to finish
I don't usually leave reviews, even though I travel quite a bit. But this place was spectacular. Super clean, well appointed, beach gear, bikes, electric car, pool passes, beach passes, well stocked kitchen appliances, tools, etc. Owners were kind and responsive and helpful. The complex is safe, quiet, close to the beach, grocery store, and a few shops.

Even better than the listing!
This place is perfect! My husband, 2 kids 11 & 13 and myself found everything we needed and then some, for an amazing week on the big island. My bro was competing in the Iron Man Competition in Kona so we came out from Maine. His family was staying down there closer to the race and as much as we’d like to be with them, it was so great to be out of the race madness and road closures. And it also served as a great place for his family to come visit us when they wanted to escape it. The house had everything we needed, boogie boards, a wagon for the beach to lug our stuff, beach/pool toys, a variety of sizes of snorkel fins and masks, coolers, bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas. The property has 2 great, clean pools for the days when we didnt want to go to the beach. The house also comes with an electric Gem Cart! This could not have been more fun and convenient! We took it all over the place. Down to the Foodland for a quick grocery run, out to the beach at the end of the road for sunset, to the other private BEAUTIFUL beach club for the mist amazing snorkeling experience. A ton of different restaurants. Ralph was so nice and responsive and helpful when we had questions or needed tips. We had an unexpected friend poop in to visit and there was a super convenient and comfortable blow up mattress for him to sleep on. If and when we come back to this island, we wouldn’t think to stay anywhere else. Thank you Ralph and Pricilla!!

A Perfect Week Away
This property offers everything you could want for the perfect vacation away from home. The condo is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. The beds are awesome - I have never slept better. There are coolers, floats, boogie boards, snorkel gear, bikes -- everything you need for a fun day out. The owner helps make the stay comfortable and convenient. Ralph is so well organized you feel as if you have your very own concierge :-) He has awesome pre/during/post communication - and cares that your stay is the best it can be. Thank you, Ralph, for going above and beyond for your guests! The GEM cart made zipping around the property fun and easy. Everything is about 10 min away -- beach, tennis, grocery, hiking, golf. The HOA keeps things immaculate -- the pool, the gardens, the tennis facility, the beach, the restaurant and bar -- you never need to leave the property, and are surrounded by luxury at every turn. It feels like you are staying at a very high end country club. It was a really nice week for the family. I look forward to returning hopefully not too far in the future. :-)

Wonderful stay
We had a lovely time on the Kona side staying at Ralph and Priscilla's property. We rode the GEM cart almost every day to get around the resort and the Mauna Lani Beach Club was beautiful. The unit was very well stocked, and Ralph was very responsive and made sure that we had everything we needed.

Home away from home in paradise
Ralpha and Priscilla continue to be phenomenal hosts. This is our 2nd year staying in their place and unbelievably we had more fun than last year. The condo is very well appointed with everything you could need for your stay. I highly recommend this condo for anyone considering a stay on the Big Island.

Excellent condo in Mauna Lani resort
Ralph is the most organized and responsive VRBO host we've ever rented from. The condo itself is great - very clean, and very organized. Ralph has thought of everything. The beds and pillows were high quality and very comfortable. The towels and provided toiletries were great. The beach equipment was an added bonus - lots of kids snorkel equipment, boogie boards, pool noodles, beach umbrellas, and a wagon. There is 1 kid size life jacket which was nice to have for my younger snorkeler. The pool is shared with the Ka Milo development to the north but always had lots of chairs and shade. There is a lap pool, a hot tub and a fitness center there. Being able to use the Gem cart is reason enough to book - just a few minutes down the road to the Fairmont Orchid, a few minutes the other direction to the grocery store (be prepared for $7 milk and $10 bread), Tommy Bahama restaurant, and the Island Taproom had good IPAs. The Fairmont Orchid restaurant was underwhelming but we ate one night at Beach Tree at the Four Seasons Hualalai (30 min south) and it was fantastic. The Mauna Lani Beach Club is 5 minutes by cart and had the calmest water and best snorkeling in our time there. Plus beach chairs and a restaurant good for lunch. The neighborhood is very quiet and much more relaxed than Waikaloa to the south. Great for families. Overall this is a fantastic home base to explore the Big Island or just hang out in the resort areas along the Kohala cost. We will definitely be back!

Sweet home away from home!
All the comforts of home and more! We enjoyed time around the pool, the private beach and evenings at the Fairmont Orchid resort. 20 minutes to some of the best beaches on the Kona coast. Conveniently located in Mauna Lani and walking distance to restaurants and groceries. But who needs to walk when you have access to a GEM EV cart? Ralph was the perfect host; available when needed to get us settled in. We’ll be back!

I was on the big island for a conference. This home is close to the beach and an easy drive around the entire island. The home had everything we needed including a GEM cart to get around the resort. Would 100% stay here again!

Everything was great! Loved the condo. The GEM cart was used more than i thought it would be. Great to run to the pool, grocery store, and beach club. We've stayed in this area before, but Ralph makes this condo the best. Perfect size for what we needed and Ralph is great. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend!

The Hostess with the Mostest
If you’re early or lucky enough to book this place because it’s still available, definitely book it. Ralph’s attention to detail shows and it made our stay just that little bit better because we had everything we could possibly need: from essentials like beach stuff like chairs and umbrellas, to things that would be nice to have - pool noodles, boogie boards, snorklers, to things that was just made the stay a little extra - two sets of beach towels for everyone so you didn’t have to be so vigilant with washing the ones you used that same day and even little mini clips for big chip bags! The GEM cart was a big plus in making us feel we were really on vacation. It was nice not to have to take the car to the fitness center, tennis courts, grocery shopping or beach club. A big bonus of staying here was finding out we were able to access Puako Bay from the complex! Although the condo is on the other side of the complex to the beach club, it is less than 5 mins away in the Gem Cart to the Southern part of Puako Bay. This was my favorite beach by far. I saw a turtle swimming and another one sunbathing on multiple days. Thank you Ralph for making our stay so memorable!!
