Booked this place for 3 nights, the photos looked incredible, description sounded ideal for us and the price was a steal! However, this was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. Alarm bells started ringing as soon as we were driving up dirt tracks and getting lost at almost every turn. When we arrived, the place looked deserted. Then a very nice, young member of staff appeared and let us in. As soon as we entered, we could tell the room was damp. The room was also oddly empty appearing with very sloppy finish. We should’ve left at this point, but we’d had a very long day hiking and just wanted to sleep. We decided that we’d stay one night and leave the next day. The staff member was understanding and very nice about the situation, he phoned the manager and it was decided that we would pay for the first night and the Hotels.com commission for the next 2 nights. We thought this was very reasonable and went to sleep in our damp room. The air was muggy and the sheets were almost wet. In the morning, when we were checking out, the single staff member was on the phone to the hotel’s owner who was demanding that we paid the full amount for the 3 nights. We were not happy about this and conversations went back and forth for up to an hour before we decided to just pay it and leave. We did not want this experience to ruin our holiday anymore than it had already done.
Do not stay here, it is not worth a fraction of the cost they demand, or the risk to your health!
