Only minor issue was sign on entrance door indicating the “entire facility was nonsmoking.” Just outside the entrance was a seating bench and a smokers tray and a smoker using it.

There was a variety of food but it wasn’t hot—barely warm. We could hear the tv next door. We encountered a major problem when we arrived in Kearney NE. Our reservation was in Kearney MO! My emails all mentioned Kearney—no state. Expedia was able to fix it and we are very grateful. We will try to be more careful when we reserve next time.

PLEASE NOTE: This review is, for the most, on EXPEDIA. Had entered Kearney NE for availabilities; booked the Kearney Holiday Inn in Kearney NE, yet, confirmation came back for KEARNEY MO. Tried to fix their sites error, but was given the virtual run around. Contacted the Kearney MO property to advise and cancel, but was told very impersonally but front desk, "that's Expedia's problem. Terrible customer service from both Expedia and Holiday Inn Express in Kearney MO. Fortunately, the Holiday Inn Express in NE, was the exact opposite. Fabulous customer service, beautiful property. They even reduced our rate when I told them how Expedia botched our reservations.

I searched hotels for 3 days and read reviews after reviews finally coming to this hotel on expedia and the reviews were amazing the pictures were amazing so I canceled my other reservation that was closer to Worlds of Fun for this one 20min away... it was a very great decision!!! It was very clean the lobby was pretty and clean!!! The breakfast was delicious!!! Oh and the best part is the room fit all of us comfortably!!! It's usually hard to find a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out and the price was the same as a room elsewhere that had less room... I give this hotel a million stars!!! 🌟 🌟 🌟

We checked in late, and spent one night. The night staff was welcoming, courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and cool. The sheets smelled so good! The breakfast was a great start to the day. I will stay here again.
