The Phillips Hotel is a 1930s era hotel. It's very intimate and conveniently located. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed.

The AC in the room didnt work well, but the worst part for sure was the valet service they make you pay for. Took average of 15minutes or more to get our vehicle. Need more staff not the staffs fault just not enoigh valet workers.

Very nice historic property! We enjoyed the room very much. The room was a little small for our liking and hot water took awhile to get hot, but otherwise very nice place to stay with a great underground bad and tasty restaurant!

For the price, I expected much more. Ice machine was broken and they are only available on the odd floors and with no refrigerator in the room, it was a hike up and down the stairs. Oh yeah, did I tell you it was over $400 per night? I'll stay elsewhere next time.

The room was clean. Looks like it had been redone on the inside. The mattress on the bed was all sunk in in the middle. Felt like a very old mattress. Room was kind of stuffy. But it was clean and got the job done for one night stay.

Overall, it was a good experience and in perfect walking distance to our event. Our complaints were broken down and uncomfortable. The bed was and being able to hear the waterlines through the walls.

I stayed this past weekend for a convention. Checking in was painless, and after checking out they held onto my luggage so I could go enjoy the con without carrying everything with me. A short walk from the convention center that is well lit at night. Facilities and room were clean. My only real gripes were as follows: 1. I could hear people out in the hallway way too well. There was barely any sound dampening. 2. The pillows were way too soft, at least in my opinion. I needed to stack two to comfortably lay my head on and even still I had to sleep on the edge of the pillow because if I put my head in the middle the edges would come up around me. The softness also made it difficult to sit up against the headboard comfortably. 3. There were several spots in my room where the paint was cracked like it hadn't been maintained in years. Very unsightly, but given the relatively lower price, I can see why. Overall my stay was good, and I would come stay again, but next time I'm bringing my own pillow from home.
