The food in the buffets are just ok. And got to eat in one of the specialties restaurants La paisana very good dinner. Just make sure you do the reservations for those Restaunats soon as you get there otherwise you will be eating ok buffet dinner every night

The people at the resort were absolutely the sweetest. Shout out to Efron who was always there to help out during dinner time with my toddler. The only downside was that the resort was under construction at the time, and the resort is huge. We would have to walk all the way around, which was quite tiring and time consuming, but thankfully they have little shuttles around the resort which made it a lot easier when you can catch one. Overall, great experience here!

No transport to and from airport included in all inclusive package from expedia, no option to even purchase. Taxi 400usd round trip. Can never book into the good restaurants concierge doesnt answer phone. Room service consistently took 1.5 hours between 17 of us in 5 rooms when told 20 mins. Our child dropped a plate and cut her foot and no help whatsoever. Asked to clean room 3 hours later still broken glass and 10pm when kids need to sleep. Food poisening from under cooked chicken and brazilian restaurant.

Like: Everyday average staff. Nice, helpful, and accommodating. Dislike: Dated resort. Hard sell timeshare club sale. Food was average to poor at time. Transport around the resort was not organized unless you sign up for the club or were in TRS. Beach was a joke. No real beach in most locations. TRS and family select have ok beaches but still not what I expected. Most alcoholic drinks are watered down or bad brands unless you are in TRS or the club. White sands lobby smelled of sewage unsure if it was related to construction. AC and refrigerator were down at check in. Room service ordering was poor. They always left off one or two items.

It is far from everything so if you want to go and leave the resort and explore, it’s nearly impossible and very expensive White sand selection is doing renovations so you can’t even see the beauty of that property The rooms are horrible very outdated and the beds are very uncomfortable. Our AC wasn’t working the first night we got there and every day we called about hot water issues and we stayed in one bedroom villa. For the price we paid. I do not recommend this resort. It is really really big. The food quality is horrible. We ordered hamburgers for room service and we literally got ground beef patties raw. I mean, I understand because the resort is so big there are so many people you’re now fighting with quantity rather than quality

There was a ton of mosquitos, the staff was rude at times and the bar tenders were definitely not qualified bartends aside from one person, there were a so many flies one day on the food that I feel they are negligent when it comes to sanitary conditions I would not recommend this resort.

I drove to your property and the staff seem unfamiliar with people who drive their own vehicle on the property. It took over an hour for us to get clear directions on where to park and where to check in we even drove through areas of the property that were not meant for vehicles, based on the directions given by your staff. When we finally checked in and found our room, we decided to hang at the beach. We were approached several times by guys trying to sell products. This is the first resort I ever said I would never return to.

We stayed at the White Sands for 5 days and very much enjoyed it. Here are the good and the bad: Drinks bad. There is no real juice on the property, neither at the bar or the buffet. Everything is a weird cheap tasting artificial "fruit" flavor. Best of the bunch was passion fruit, depending on who mixed it for you; it was passable in a margarita or mojito. On day 3, I gave up and just had seltzer with lime. The house red wine is pretty good. AC worked, but the room always felt damp. Food: mostly mediocre. We preferred the buffets because you could always find something that was good. Tacos and Mexican food were great. Hibachi station at the Hacienda was great, too. Fruit always delicious. Service generally better at the Dahlia. The only good restaurant we ate in was Sumptuori, whose beef seemed to be better quality than the buffets, and our chef Paulino was great. The Paisana and Portofino had good salads, but none of us liked our entrees. Meat was chewy and pastas tasted weird--the butter in brown gnocchi butter sage sauce was margarine, I think, and there was no sage. The filling in the ravioli not good. Tiramisu nice, though! Good: beautiful grounds, super nice staff, & immaculately clean pool at the White Sands. Loved the jungle paths from the WS to the Colonial. Lots of activities! We love archery with the fabulous Mafer, water aerobics with Miguel. and playing pickle ball as a family. The boys had a great scuba experience. We used the gym twice-very good!

The location is amazing. The facilities are amazing. The spa is amazing. The people working there are amazing. The food / restaurants / bars / service and convenience are lackluster: (1) why do I need to sign multiple copies of forms to bill anything to the room (why can’t they use our bracelet key)? You can write down any room number and chicken scratch! (2) no top-shelf options for alcohol (at any price) (3) restaurants are all essentially the same back kitchen / bar with the same cookie cutter (Soviet) format. No seemingly natural juices. Coffee meh. No coffee shop. Open buffet times odd for a resort (why do I need to be racing to catch a meal)? (4) Limited options for kids and teens other than the pool/beach – why can’t they have a separate spa for families? (5) why am I waiting 15 minutes for a transport to the other lobby or room which is far away? Just didn’t feel the love.
