Nice hotel with nice room and wider single bed. The receptionist was very nice and advised very well. Pool are was clead although the jacuzzi is extremely small. Breakfast would need little improvement like adding some solt in scrambled eggs and better coffee. But it was included.

The location and view are beautiful. About 2 km walk from the bus station. The breakfast was quite adequate. Since the hotel is old, the decoration of the room and bathroom is also old accordingly. In general, I saw a lot of spider webs and spiders in Karlovy Vary. There was a big spider on the wall in the room. Bed comfort was poor compared to the hotels I stayed in other cities.

Good enough to warrant a return visit!
The location is fantastic and the people are great! My only complaint would be that the condition of the property was a bit worn - but no more than can be expected from a hotel built in the 1890s. My overall analysis is that the place is wonderful and I’d be willing to stay there again. :)

No parking and no valet service!
Located at the town center, this hotel is clean and spacious. Built more than 100 years ago, one can notice its age. The only disappointment at arrival was that they do not offer valet service, while the hotel.com description said so. I had to park at a garage about 10 mins steep uphill away. Valet service was the main reason why I pick this hotel. They must correct this on website. Ones who get to the town without car, this is a great hotel. The breakfast was excellent!

Christmas family stay
Central is a classic on one of the main squares in Karlovy Vary. The hotel includes the historic art nouveau part, as well as a modern wing with most of the spa facilities. We were in a room in the older wing, and the view from our window was beautiful. Parking is available on-site, which is a rare commodity in the city, but large vehicles may not fit. The breakfast is excellent; even our picky 2 year old had multiple options. A crib was in our room on arrival without us having to double-check. Wi-fi was reliable throughout. English, Russian, and German seem to be spoken by most personnel (in addition to Czech, of course). We were there over Christmas, and the stay was appropriately seasonal, with many options to make travelers feel at home. The traditional Czech carp was available in the restaurant in addition to more international options. Our child loved a certain small mechanical, dancing and singing Santa Claus in the lobby, and would dance along with it. We are not sure why it sang in French ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great Location on the main boulevard
Great Location on the main boulevard. Kitchen and bar closed already at 22:00 and the night person didnt speak or understand any english at all. The accessible entrance is from a side & not in front. There parking is on the street but there are only 2-3 parking spaces reserved for the hotel.

Great located hotel with the best breakfast I had
We went only for a weekend but this hotel was just perfect. It was very nice, equal to the price and the staff was very helpful and nice. I must highlight here the breakfast buffet as this was the best breakfast buffer I experienced on my travelling. So many options to choose from, the basics plus smokey salmon, many options of nuts and dried fruit to add into your porridge. Pancakes, yogurts, eggs made on different styles etc. Also this hotel is straight on the colonnade so it is right in the center and everything is incredibly close. Thank you.

Great location
The only negative I have to mention is the inability to make a spa appointment. The lobby clerk sent me to the spa. No one was in the apt. Room. I found someone who directed me to call the spa number to make an app that. The person answering the phone could not speak English. No spa for me. The hotel seems to be under staffed.

Older comfort, and a perfect location.
This feels like a classic hotel; with all the trappings and style, and just a little worn-out shabbiness that just adds to the character. The front desk clerk spoke excellent English (although the night clerk had more problem, and my non-existent Czech didn't help!), and our rooms were exactly what we wanted for a couple of nights to explore the area. The breakfast buffet was over the top in an excellent way. If you were staying for the spa and health treatments, the breakfasts could out-do all your hard work if you weren't careful!

Don't go during the off season
The hotel was pretty empty. This became very apparent when we tired to eat at the restaurant. While there were a few people eating, the staff told us they were closed. This was at 7:25 at night. We pointed out that the time said open until 08:30, so then they said we could choose from one thing on the menu. Needless to say we went looking for another restaurant. Later around 9:30 my daughter bumped her head and I went to ask the front desk for some ice. After looking for a while a man walks in from outside. He couldn’t find any ice. The Pros: The room was very large and clean. It is the typical two beds pushed together that is found in most European hotels. They were comfortable. Breakfast was also typical European, but most people will find enough to fill up. The Cons: We couldn’t find any English channels. Not even the reliable BBC. Most channels were in Russian. While we didn’t try to get any Spa type services I expect it would be difficult unless you are there during the high tourist months as there was not a lot going on in or out of the hotel.

Very pleasent hotel at perfect location
The hotel is old, but at very good condition. The room is good and clean with small negative things (venta in bathroom was not working, the warming was not enough for me, but for others may be it's Ok, and unfortunately no coffee/tee table was there). But service, people, food and location are perfect. Very recommended !

Great Find!
Hotel is centrally located to the main strip, all within walking distance! Parking is a hit or miss as the hotel only has two spots for 10euros/day, but we got lucky. Service was very good at the reception. the free breakfast had some odd food choices, however, you can find something to fill you up. The price is great for a one or two night quick getaway!

Die Lage ist hier alles, sonst eher mittelmäßig. Empfang sehr nett, Zimmer lassen einige Renovierungen durchaus zu. Es gibt Bademäntel und Pantoffeln, was wir gut fanden, allerdings war der Pool und Whirlpool von einer Horde russischer Mitmenschen bevölkert, so hat die Nutzung keinen Spaß gemacht. Beleuchtung lief auf Sparflamme und die Sauna war verschlossen und dunkel. Auf Nachfrage sagte uns eine Angestellte, sie wäre nicht zuständig. Alles nicht sehr kundenfreundlich. Frühstück nicht toll, Wurst alle, am Kaffee steht man am Automaten minutenlang, Auswahl an Speisen war nix für uns. Aber ok, bei 2 oder 3 Nächten gibt’s schlimmeres. Unbedingt Parkplatz vorm Haus reservieren, bei uns hat’s geklappt, Kosten 20,- Euro extra. Der Hammer kam bei Abreise, als wir gefragt wurden, ob wir etwas im Zimmer getrunken hätten. Ich bestätigte, dass wir eine der 2 vorrätigen Wasserflaschen geöffnet hätten, ja und? Dies machte dann bitte 3,- Euro extra 😡 wie bitte? In einem 4Sterne Hotel steht kein Wasser zur Begrüßung kostenfrei bereit? Wir würden zukünftig ein anderes Hotel buchen, da der Pool nicht nutzbar, Sauna verschlossen, Frühstück nicht lecker und nur die Lage und Aussicht top waren.
