Really enjoyable stay.
River-view room was spacious enough with sound-proof windows, which helped since the room is above the outdoor bar area. Comfy bed and pillows, excellent breakfast included. Make sure you get confirmation of your parking if booking it. We requested parking months before with our booking, only to be told that none was reserved as we had not been given confirmation. Their fault apparently, but no solution provided other than to go somewhere else a few blocks away. If you want to use the spa area, you need to pay extra and book a time slot days before you arrive. Rooftop pool area is free, though. Food at Bishops Arms Hotel is excellent and a has great ambience.

Small room, not worth the price. Breakfast is good, the location is fine, though there is very limited parking at the hotel. Dining was merely OK. If you can find something better, take it.

Best in Karlstad
We were visiting our foreign exchange daughter and her family. The hotel was lovely. Our room over-looked the river. It was spacious and comfortable. American-sized shower! The breakfast buffet was amazing. We loved the location, which was walking distance to everything. The pub "Bishop's Arms" was perfect for unwinding after a long day. We would certainly stay there again.

One of the best hotels ever!
Herregud, vilket magnifikt hotell och top-notch service på alla sätt. Det är ovanligt att besöka ett så stort hotell där alla hörn, alla rum, alla delar är så hög nivå, men det var det verkligen.

Really dated building that needs AC. The hall way to our room was littered with dirty towels and sheets piled up and a vacuum cleaner just sitting in the middle of the hall The piles/vacuum remained from when I checked in at 3pm till 9am the next morning.

The room was clean and efficient. Beds were comfortable. With the hotter weather, the room was very warm when we arrived. No water was given to us. We open the windows but the street noise was terrible. Refrigerator was filled with all kinds of things we could buy but no room for us to put a few of our own things. There also is no coffee or a tea kettle in our room or in the hotel lobby . The receptionist made us wait a while before she checked us in. Also parking was several blocks away. Breakfast was abundant and offered a lot of choices. The location was nice along the river and there was access to a lot of nice restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay at the Elite Stadshotellet. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We liked having an sitting room with a couch. The sunroof bar was a nice spot to have a drink. The hotel is centrally located in Karlstad next to shops and restaurants.
