I have stayed in this hotel for the last three times on a yearly basis.Very nice and satisfied. But on this trip,
I am disappointed as I have booked a Premier twin room (43 sq m) but was given a room of 39 (sqm).
However, I believe that it would be better if I had check in on weekdays instead of Saturday.
Stay from Saturday and checked out on Wednesday.
Really nice room and great bathroom. Wasn’t expecting to see cleaning towels used by housekeeping left lying around in the bathroom sink considering the nightly rate and parking was really limited. Bed comfortable and generally a good night’s stay
Room was spacious. Rooftop hot spring was really good, they prepare everything for you, that’s very nice. The only thing that need some improvement is their front receptions’ knowledge about local transportation. We were given the wrong information and made us walk extra 15 to 20 mins to a further bus station when there is one just 3 mins away from hotel.
Spacious clean and very new room. Big comfortable beds, the toilet was modern and luxurious.
What left the deepest impression on us was the very warm service by the hotel staff. The receptionist went out of his way to help us make dinner arrangements, and even offered to help us pre order our dinner as he found out the restaurant we wanted to go to only spoke Japanese and we did not. Very touched by the kindness and care!
The facilities and services were good but too expensive.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
This hotel is so strange. The lobby and entrance area feel like a senior living community. Fake flowers and strange decor. The rooms on the other hand are spacious and contemporary and the Onsen is divine. And the staff would make great guest stars in a Twilight Zone episode. I can’t say we had a bad experience but I did run through the lobby with my eyes shut to get to our room.
The only drawback is the hotel is slightly far away from Karuizawa Station. It's a good 12-15 minutes walk. Otherwise, the room is spot clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Breakfast is highly recommended.
