Rustic style Accommodation located on our secluded lifestyle farm stay property (Katrine Steading, Est 1832) only 13 Kms from the historic towns of Northam and Toodyay.
You can enjoy the piece and quiet of country life including bird watching, bush walking, seasonal kayaking on the Avon river swimming in the pool or Soaking in the Spa.
"Talbot" is one room in a complex of 3 in a renovated historic coachhouse, relocated from Peppermint Grove.
The coachhouse is set in a small lawn/garden area with fig trees and grapevines surrounding the entrance.
The room is a large room with a queen size bed
Microwave, FTA TV, Small fridge, RC AirCon,
Electric fry pan, toaster etc.
as well as coffee and tea making facilities.
There is also a shared BBQ for all Coachhouse guests.
Interaction with us can be as much or little as you desire, feel free to enjoy the gardens and surrounding areas, we will be around somewhere if you need assistance or want a chat.
Of course Monet (Like the painter) our Dog is the official property greeter.
Quiet secluded location with no near neighbors and limited drive by traffic.
Situated on a rural 25 acre property surrounded by hills and adjacent to the Avon River.
Numerous bird and wildlife to enjoy.
Historic church 2 min walk away.
Both Northam and Toodyay have many cafe's, restaurants and hotels to choose from, offering a wide range of food and drink to suit your tastes.
No public transport, but taxi's will come out from Northam.
Easy 10 - 15 min drive to both Northam and Toodyay.

Im from the country so this setting was enjoyable for me. The big open spaces of the hills were beautiful, quiet and very enjoyable.

There were few things to be done better like there was limited lighting outside and no ensuite so to go to the toilet at night was hard, the light outside door was not working and there is no key to the room instead it’s a number lock, we went to spa by keeping our phones inside the room and when we were back it was dark and it took us very long to try to open the door, as we don’t have phones we could not make phone calls either

It was advertised and came up in a search for ‘private dwelling- “entire place” it was a room sharing a wall with 2 other individual guests. Tried to upgrade as was nit comfortable with this arrangement- the owners were nit accomodating- said new mod Cons- was nothing of the sort. The room was about 5x5. Entrance door literally 1 foot away from you 2 x neighbours-whom you share the outhouse and outdoor shower with- extremely disappointing- we did nit stay and will be requesting a full refund
