We stayed in a very nice bungalow and awoke to birds chirping on their very pretty grounds. There's a lot of space at this hotel and each of the bungalows is positioned with enough space for privacy. However, there are two units in each bungalow, an upper and lower. We stayed in the lower and there was no one in the upper room. If there was someone upstairs they could have been noisy in our room.
The room was very big, and parking outside was very easy. We arrived in the evening after the office was closed and check in was no problem with the security guard.
The wifi did not work at all in our room, we were informed in the morning that wifi is only at the main lounge area. But because of the remoteness of the hotel location, we had no cell service in the bungalows.
The hotel seems mostly geared towards providing meals and presentations to tour busses that stop there on the way to and from Chichen Itza. So while we ate three busses pulled up and unloaded. It didn't bother us at all, and there is quite a big shop there, if you want to buy tourist goods.
The buffet breakfst is supposed to be included with the room, however we arrived at 10:45am and were charged because they had already started to serve lunch at that time. The buffet is very large and there are several Yucateco options as well as some not very good 'US' style food like spagetti. The food was mediocre, but adequate, what you'd expect at a buffet. Again, the buffet is really for the tour busses that stop there
