Excellent place to stay . The old silent inn is a very nice rural area. Very nice rooms and excellent dining. The inn is clean and the staff are very friendly and look after you.
This is a gem of a pub. The owners and staff are so welcoming and helpful. Great range of beers and excellent food. In a quiet location but close to a lot of places of interest. Ample free parking and great breakfast. Super pet friendly too.
This is a spot not to be missed, seriously cute pub with fantastic rooms. The bed was one of the most comfortable EVER and the staff were super friendly! Make sure you stop by!
We never got to stay as the hotel rang the morning of our booking and informed us that a fire on Friday had damaged the heating system and that they would have to cancel our booking. Hotels.com won’t now refund our fee, we feel ripped off and disillusioned with both parties.
My wife and I had a delightful stay at the Old silent Inn. The people who work there are extremely friendly and pleasant. the food was very good.
Given that it is an old inn, it has loads of character, however this does mean that the room facilities are not as per modern day - the bathroom was 'Snug' and the water pressure was rather low. However, my wife and I were happy to accept this so we could enjoy the character of the place.
Delightful Inn and staff. Very reasonable pub and breakfast prices along with very good quality and choice of ales. Breakfast sausages were excellent. Slept very well, comfortable bed and quiet. Only downside was the bathroom, a bit narrow with only a small hand basin and the shower hot water fluctuated whilst u were taking a shower. Having said that I would definitely stay again, but a different room
A very pleasant, quaint Inn, tucked away on the edge of the moors offering a relaxed and friendly experience for any traveller. Splendid breakfast too! Definitely recommended.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room could do with being updated, fine for what we used it for. Peeling wallpaper, and our room was right above kitchen, kitchen staff liked having loud music on whilst doing breakfast 🙄
