Nice place to stay, just needs a little updating. New carpet in hallways. I loved that they had chairs in the rooms that were comfortable for watching tv at night. The owners were extremely nice.

I brought my dog with me who is not a service dog, but a support dog. The staff was very accommodating, and when it came to breakfast offered to watch my dog for me while I went in to get some food. I was super impressed with the attention that I saw that they gave to their guests.

Great Family Owned Business
My sister and I had a wonderful weekend at Royal Inn. There we were greeted with warm smiles and recommendations. The host could not be more accommodating. The indoor pool looked great, even though we didn’t have time to enjoy it. A continental breakfast to include various cereals, muffins, danishes, eggs, toast and coffee was included in our stay. We had to leave really early to catch our flight and the hostess made sure we could eat breakfast prior to our departure.

This is probably one of the older hotels in Keystone, South Dakota. Needs to be updated. Owners were very nice and accomodating. Beds were comfortable. Nice indoor pool. We stayed for 5 nights.

Amazing hotel
The view from the window was good. The food for breakfast was incredible! Hotel staffs who work here are super kind and helpful, and they are so nice! The pool was amazing! We loved the hotel! We recommend this hotel to stay.

A Place to Sleep
The owners were very kind but the hotel is in bad shape. The carpet is old, stained and dirty. The shower didn’t work properly, nor did the tub drain. The shower curtain was either dirty or moldy. Our bath towels were a dingy grey color and stained. The beds were very soft, seemingly old. Breakfast was essentially toast or cereal. The halls and lobby were extremely stuffy and it took a long time for our room to be a comfortable temperature. Area around it leaves something to be desired as well.

My room was so tight i had side step between the wall and the bed on both sides. The smoke detecter was missing with the wires hanging down from the ceiling, bathroom not very sanitary. The manager would not refund me any money even though i checked out 2 nights early.

I would like to request my money back from this property! Iwas dirty we had to wait outside at 10 pm for them to clean our room because they forgot! The rooms are tiny like no where to put suitcase or anything! Full bed not queen and no hot breakfast just toast no butter, no penutbutter and cereal with ni milk!!! Place was disgusting!

The carpet in the hallways have holes in it The indoor pool is unheated and freezing cold. The hot tub has no water in it. The outdoor stairs are rotting and dangerous. The view is of a rusted shed and old awnings that were removed the front. In other words the view is of junk.

Service was awesome. Could have used a bit more on the cleaning side but nothing was dirty just not to appealing to the eye. Pool was cold and hot tub was out of service

A few upgrages would have made our stay better.
The owners were very friendly and always willing to make your stay as good as they could. The hotel was in desperate need for an update and repare. The complimentary breakfast was very limited. The beds were relatively comfortable, but the rooms were very small.

The motel was in a good location near Mt Rushmore and close to some restaurants. However the room was very small, old, outdated and it had a musty odor. Parking was weird for the rooms in the back of the motel. The breakfast was not satisfying, extremely limited selections and there were no lids for the 6oz styrofoam cup. The guest services staff person was nice, but the only way I would stay here again was if they had a complete renovation.
