Loved our room, roominess, gas fireplace and decor. Hotel well maintained, it’s beautiful inside rustic outside. Parking was a bit of a challenge. We would suggest this hotel to anyone looking to visit the area!

It is a motel with standard rooms. The breakfast was good. The front office was friendly. It was very convenient to Mt. Rushmore (2 miles) and lots of restaurants.

The room smelled damp and musty, the AC filter light was on that it needed to be changed and wasnt working properly. Neither the shower drained properly or the personal sink which was unpleasant, as I wasn't sure if i was wading in back up water. Overall was very disappointed for the amount I spent and it was only 1 night.

We arrived late. The front desk young woman had to stay 2 hours late to check us in. She was SO nice!! (I was expecting a grumpy person being she had to stay 2 hours after her shift ended)…. But she was so nice and welcoming! The hotel was in great condition and breakfast was pretty good for a smaller hotel! Close to town and felt safe staying there.

BEWARE OF POOL! DANGER! On our first night, we headed to the pool. As we walked in we watched a lady slip down the pool stairs. Then the lady directly in front of us fell as well. I learned from their mistake and with both hands on the rail attempted to walk into the pool steps. My feet slipped right from under me. My husband crawled into the pool and helped the kids in over the side. The entire floor of the pool is so slick you can’t walk…The lobby is cute and staff are available and friendly. That’s all the positive I have to say. The rooms smell, the bathrooms are DISGUSTING! I went to the ground floor and showered in a bathroom in a random hallway as it was clean. There’s grease stains running down the walls (I assume bed bug spray). Nasty white crusty on all the surfaces of our room. The tub didn’t drain and was covered in brown goo and hair.

I think it depends on the room you get at this place. Our room was clean but it had an odor of smoke. Not like someone had recently smoked in the room but imbedded smoke in the carpet etc. I suspect the rooms inside the main hotel are better. The pool area was excellent, the breakfast was average and the location was great. All in all it would have been very good minus the smell which I am sensitive to.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to Mt. Rushmore and other tourist attractions. Our suite was spacious and super clean. We had been traveling for over a week and this was hands down the best hotel experience of our trip.

Hello, I drove from Schaumburg, IL to Keystone, SD on 8/16 and it was a long day travel. I was so tired and checked in the hotel. Everything was perfect at the hotel except the air conditioning. I don't know what was the mechanism of it but somehow Everytime it starts, within one minute it got stopped and then automatically it starts again but I could never find out when. And it was so loud that I woke up once at night just because of that noise. Rest of the things we're excellent. Please get it fixed.
