Fabulous location, quiet as back from road, and facing river, staff are warm and helpful to a fault, nothing is too much trouble, the service is discreet and not fussy, Room well equipped with everything you might possibly need, only had to ask for a kettle and it was there in moments. Breakfast is lovely, a huge choice.

Pool was too warm
Always my favorite. However the swimming pool water was too warm to cool down the body heat. As the Sun is getting more and more scorching the hotel should definitely do something about the water temperature.

I have stayed at properties owned/operated by Fairmont, The Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental and Regent, all of which I love. This was my first time staying at a Peninsula property and, to be blunt, it was a phenomenal experience which I did not want to end. Not only was the property beautiful and serene, but the service was impeccable, provided by smiling, caring, happy staff who were fully focused on pleasing you, the guest. Additionally, a significant number of the staff has been there for many years; some almost three decades. That tells you that they like working for the hotel, and that the hotel takes good care of their people. All this makes for an unbelievable combination of excellence and seamless service, with a smile. This hotel surpasses all!!

We stayed here to celebrate our honeymoon. My husband says he felt like a king. Best hotel stay we have ever had and we plan to come back just to stay here again. Breakfast buffet was indescribable. Staff was outstanding- so incredibly respectful, helpful, and nice. The room had an amazing view of the river and pool. 2 bathrooms in our room. Unlimited water bottles. Round trip transfer included them even helping us check in for our flight and check our luggage. Couldnt have asked for a better property.

Best hotel experience!!
It was the best hotel experience ever!! The hospitality was more than what I expected from airport pickup to all the little details during our 2 day stay. Our host greeted me by name everytime we ran into each other. We were already very grateful for the late checkout at 6pm and was pleasantly surprised when asked if we wanted to stay until 8pm when we’re due to leave for the airport - amazing service!! The food at Thiptara was great. The breakfast buffet was the best we’ve ever had. We will definitely stay again the next time we’re in Bangkok and have already recommended the hotel to friends.
