Sugar Beach Resort #305

Beach Front Sugar Beach Resort. 3rd Floor, Ocean View Unit. Beautifully updated unit with sweeping ocean views. Enjoy all of the amenities in a clean, well-kept property. The entire complex sits ocean front, there are no roads to cross to get you onto the beach! 305 is mid floor resort living with views that go on forever. Unit is accessible via elevator or stairs.

The carefully chosen furnishings and decor in this updated unit will allow you to melt into 'Maui Time'. Dine on your lanai while watching the 'green flash' that can occur when the sun sets into the ocean. There are many green sea turtles swimming in the surf in front of Sugar Beach Resort, and magnificent humpback whales as they return each winter to enjoy their calving grounds in the Maui waters.

Enjoy walking the more than 5 Mile continuous beach every morning or evening. There are many pieces of lawn and garden furniture spread throughout the resort grounds and pool area. The grounds are very well kept and the pool is heated and kept between 80 - 85 degrees (one of the warmest and only heated pools in Kihei). 305 is part of Sugar Beach Resort which won Management of the year for 2011.

The Unit is very well equipped, it has all of the linens and towels that you will need. There are two cable TV's, one flat screen in the bedroom and a another flat screen in the living room, both have DVD players for movies. A stereo system with CD is provided, high speed broadband internet is available in the unit as well. There is a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board as well as a washer and dryer. The kitchen is completely stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, toaster, microwave, etc. Food is available nearby at: Costco in Kahului, while Kihei offers a Safeway, Food Land, Star Market, and a daily Farmer’s market.

Nice condo!
The condo was very clean, had lots of kitchen stuff, and was nicely furnished with clean, newer furniture. Had 4 beach chairs and a cooler, but didn’t really have any other beach toys (snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc) like other units we’ve stayed in at Sugar Beach. Overall, very nice stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Location was great, steps from the beach. Loved the view from the lanai. Grateful for the insulated bag and ice packs. We used them every day. Extra nice that they provided laundry soap. This unit was well stocked just like the description states. The unit is spacious and has all the comforts of home. Nice view of the beach. Close to restaurants. Only 75 minutes to Haleakala summit to view sunrise. Enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our unit was adequate and quite clean. We had the amenities we needed. Loved the location which was central to everything we wanted to see. I feel the exterior could use use some sprucing up. It's an older place and in need of painting. Hall by our room was drab. Pool area is nice but offers little shade. When we stayed the water was too rough all week for swimming. Management promptly helped with an issue we had.

We had an amazing stay! The property was perfect for us and our 4 year old girls! We had an awesome week of fun here! The condo was clean, had everything we needed, pool and amenities were great and steps from ocean. We enjoyed the close beach walks to the farmers market, abc store, bakery and shave ice each day. Owner was quick to respond and answer any questions! The entire trip was easy and awesome. We’ll be back for sure!

Great Home base for Maui
This property was fabulous! Easy to park, on the beach, quiet, clean, fully stocked kitchen. Even had extra long grilling tools for when we took advantage of the gas grills onsite. We stayed w/ 2 adults and 2 teens. It felt bigger to us than the pictures looked. Would have liked a blender so we could made smoothies with all the fabulous fruit stand fruit :) Our only complaint was that the day before we left we tried contacting the property manager and it stated it was a restricted number and could not leave a message. We were trying to get an extra hour on our checkout from 10 to 11. I emailed, texted, and called both the property manager and the owner and did not get a reply. Thankfully I did not have an emergency but it was a little concerning. That is why we left the 4 stars instead of 5.

Perfect Beach Getaway!
We loved this condo and resort. The condo was clean upon arrival. There were beach chairs, towels and an umbrella that we put to good use. The kitchen was fully stocked. We loved that the condo has an ocean view from the lanai. The resort was great with a large pool, hot tub and access to the beach. We enjoyed being able to walk to get shaved ice close by. The beach was clean and the sand was soft. It was nice to relax in the provided chairs as well. We will definitely stay here when we come again!
