Restaurants on site are wonderful and varied. Pub was beautiful and affordable vs the other restaurants which were nice but pricey. Apartments are large and have plenty of room for a family.

On the outskirts of town. Walkable to Killarney national Park. Able to rent bikes down the road and ride for miles around the park. Location is wonderful if you like a more quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel itself is very nice. I do not recommend the self catering apartments as they are very rundown. I brought this to their attention, which they addressed satisfactorily. The restaurant, bar, and hotel staff were some of the kindest individuals I’ve could ever meet!

The property was amazing and the staff was very kind and helpful. The interior of the apartment, particularly the carpet was worn. The bed however was extremely uncomfortable-very hard both the mattress and pillows!

Not nearly as good as expected
Would not recommend. Be warned - the swimming pool is for over 16 year olds only. This isn’t communicated clear enough on the listing and was the key reason I had made the booking - so my kids (12 and 15) and I could swim every morning. Except, we couldn’t. Beyond that, the Reserve apartments are large and comfy enough, but certainly not 5 star standard. A bit old, musty and tired. 3 star, tops.

Wonderful apartment in a beautiful location! The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. The spa was incredible. Food was wonderful at the hotel. We had a great time exploring the Muckross estate with the hotel bikes.

Certainly my fault for not paying closer attention but I thought I was booking the Muckross Park Hotel & Spa and not a room in their "Reserve" or apartment building adjacent to the hotel. It was unclear why each bedroom in the 2-bed apartment had different room numbers. The Reserve is tired, no elevator, no a/c, no housekeeping and one of the windows wouldn't open. I did tell a clerk who came to check on the lock that I wanted to be in the main hotel but no one responded. Pretty disappointing when I thought I was going to be in the "castle".

Traveling with family I booked an apartment so that we would have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. The cleanliness is not the same as the hotel and we found bugs and very dirty beds. We complained to management and was not able to make any changes until the next day. I would consider other accommodations should I return to Ireland.
