About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Private, peaceful, and secluded cabin in the woods - the perfect getaway!

This 1,500 square foot cabin offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kids play area, a huge porch, and beautiful scenery for your getaway in the woods. Located half a mile off of a state road, you get the best of both worlds - a quiet space to hang out, and easy access to nearby towns and stores. Our guests have access to a beautiful view of the woods, sitting on a 5-acre with plenty of space outside to walk around, play games, enjoy a fire, and enjoy the outdoors!

You will be able to communicate with the property manager via email, phone, or text before and after your booking. A phone number will be provided for any questions leading up to your check in!

This cabin is located on a dead-end road, about 0.5 miles off of State Road 62. This provides a quiet, secluded experience, but also gives you easy access to wherever you may want to visit. You’ll be around 15 minutes from Millersburg where you can find a Walmart, gas stations, fast food, and sit-down restaurants and desserts. You’ll also be about 30 minutes from Berlin, the heart of Amish Country, where many people come to visit the popular variety of shops and restaurants that it has to offer!

Guest Access:
There is plenty of parking space on the property. The cabin has a gravel driveway that extends up to a secondary cabin (not available for use), a large garage, and has several parking spaces on the front end as well. Guests can fit up to 5 vehicles easily, but we’d request no more than that without requesting permission.

The keys for entry are kept in a lockbox. There is a gate to get in at the front of the driveway, which has it’s own combination lock. The code for each is the same, and that will be provided to you the morning of your stay. We ask that you keep the keys in the lock box when you’re done opening things up so they do not get lost.

About the Space:
This space offers 3 private bedrooms, and one, open basement for a kids play area that contains two sets of full bunk beds. This adds up to 4 separate living quarters, with 7 beds in total, and the ability to sleep 10 people comfortably. The size and layout of this cabin offers spaces for kids to run around and enjoy the outdoors, play inside in a controlled environment, or watch TV/movies, all while still being able to offer more peaceful areas outside, or in the house, with a great view for rest and relaxation.

Transit:
This cabin is located on a dead-end dirt road, 1/2 mile off of State Route 62. It’s fairly steep, and may be a challenge to travel on for smaller or less powerful vehicles, especially if the weather is not ideal. We highly recommend bringing a larger vehicle that is more capable to perform in off-road terrain to ensure you have the best experience with your stay.

Beautiful Property!
My partner and I had a small, intimate wedding with our closest friends and family with the permission of the owners. We also requested dates that weren't originally available for booking, and they were able to accommodate our request! We fell in love with the property nearly a year in advance, but in person it was a thousand times more beautiful! Our wedding was a success, and we are extremely satisfied with the property. They also had plenty of coffee, dishes, and disposable eatery available for use. We're already planning our next trip!

Far Better Than Even the Pictures Let On
The page doesn't do this location justice, everyone was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Checkin and checkout procedures are incredibly simple. The location itself is convenient and the perfect amount of remote. Overall an amazing time.

Lives up to the listing title
I was extremely happy with this property. If I'm ever looking for a larger place in this area again I would not hesitate to book it. We had a group of seven and there was plenty of room. There are three bedrooms and then one open room in the basement with additional beds. For us this worked out perfectly. The wrap around porch and fire pit area (with nearby hammock) were favorite hangouts during our stay. The kitchen was decently stocked with the basics and the outdoor grill worked nicely. It's great how close this is to both Mohican State Park and the heart of Amish Country. We had some concern prior to the trip due to the gravel road leading to the rental and the notation about not taking small cars. My daughter and son both were driving smaller cars but luckily neither had any problem. I would guess unless there is alot of rain or if it's winter and there is snow or ice then you should be okay.

Awesome place with a few caveats
The property is absolutely AWESOME for people who want that "get away" feeling. You're surrounded by trees with no other house in site (or earshot). I think I spent half the time out on the lovely porch! The porch and the dining room and the fire area are the gathering spots, both of which are plenty large enough for the number of people that the house will accommodate. (Especially since there are lots of extra chairs!) The living room isn't large. You can fit everyone in there if the weather is poor if you bring in some more chairs from somewhere else. Note that there is NO TV in the living room. Yes, there is a TV downstairs but there are no chairs or sofas or anything downstairs to sit on to watch it. We never turned it on and didn't miss it, but others who plan on using a TV will be disappointed. The house was amazingly well-appointed with towels and linens and toilet paper and soap. My family loved the queen beds, but only one of the bunk bed mattresses was comfortable. The full-size bunk sagged too badly for two people to use comfortably, and the two top bunk mattresses were lumpy enough that my son and his girlfriend opted to sleep on the floor instead. Hopefully the owners will fix that soon. The biggest drawback was how damp the downstairs was. It was difficult to sleep because it was so damp, as the sheets always felt a little wet. If they install a commercial-grade dehumidifier down there and upgrade some mattresses, then the place would be perfect!
