"I had been looking at the Old Bonaventure house to host fiends from away who visited over the summer, but it was booked full. When my husband and I decided on a rather last minute getaway before the winter has us holed up in St. John's, we were so pleased that the house was available. A friend joined us for two of the four nights we were there. She worked on a music/art project, while my husband, dog and I cooked and did a little hiking. The wonderful kitchen, wood stove, openness, windows (!!), bath, cozy rooms, and waterfall did not disappoint. We really appreciate how welcome Dawne made us, and, importantly, our dog, feel! I would definitely come back, and the stay convinced me that a winter getaway is would be lovely."
