In just over twenty minutes you will find yourself at the start of the stunning Norfolk coastline. Explore the rolling sand dunes in Heacham and build a sandcastle, paddle along the shoreline or go wild swimming. Off season, this is also one of the beaches the locals head to for bracing walks. A little further and you will be in Hunstanton, known locally as Sunny Hunny. Here you will find a wide, sandy beach and lots of traditional seaside attractions including a Sealife Centre. You can also take seasonal boat trips from here to explore the waters. Travel further along the coast and discover salt and clay marshes and picturesque quays all waiting to be explored. If history is your thing you are also in for a treat with the Sandringham, Holkham and Houghton estates and Peckover House all within easy reach. And nature lovers will enjoy trips to RSPB Snettisham and Welney Wetlands. And after working up an appetite you will be very pleased to discover that there are lots of great places to eat in the area, many of which serve seasonal local produce. There are also a range of family friendly chain eateries at a nearby retail park too.
