This hotel is under new management and no longer uses OYO as a booking agent. When we arrived OYO had not sent through our booking - this was not hotels.com's fault. The new management team kindly allowed us to stay at no extra cost. I have contacted hotels.com regarding this and hope they will make sure that this hotel is given as much help as possible. The team are working hard to make this a great place to stay.
Very clean and tidy. Helpful staff. Good breakfast choice and decent menu for other meals.
Only small criticism is the bathroom fan and toilet flush pump noise from room Next door to room 6. I am sure they had the noise from ours too!
Perfect. Stayed just one night and also ate in the restaurant. Greeted upon entry and shown my room, everything I need was in the room. Only negative was the shower drain was blocked. Staff very polite and welcoming, food was very good and the area was perfect.
The room was clean...WiFi didn’t work and the staff pretty much said “try again, it should work.” Never did get it to work on any of our devices. The beds were not firm enough for our liking. Overall the staff was friendly and our stay was okay.
Well the room was unique in the colour scheme! A very pink room, pink walls (bar one), pink doors, pink rug. But the bed was very comfortable, and the room clean. Breakfast was fantastic (didn't need lunch or dinner) - The weather was great as well so big thank you
The room was quite nice albeit a bit cold. We ate in the pub but found the food to be pretty average, not in any way special. Sadly by 10pm the pub was empty with the exception of us and the staff. It did seem to be busy earlier on.
Can't say much more about the room etc than I have already by awarding all excellents in the opening questions. The food was great, as well as breakfast the next day we ate in the pub the night we arrived, the room was very comfortable and staff extremely friendly and attentive. We loved the area and will go back and stay at this pub again.
nice location. rooms need vastly improving.will not return again in the current condition.
Really liked the location of the nelson, ideally placed for days out to all coastal attractionsThe staff were really friendly and helpfull. We dined there twice and the meals were fine. The downside was the rooms were not up to standard, and were scruffy, with marks on the walls in the room and corridor The bathroom and bedroom needed a good clean,in my opinion dated and a two star at best for the room.
The toilet in our room did not work properly. The cistern did not refill after flushing. The room was very dark with depressing view onto the car park. The communal entrance meant other guests had to pass our window creating a privacy issue. All in all it was nowhere near what we expectrd of a room being charged at £150 for the night..
