We had a good nights sleep on a very brief stay here. The breakfast however, was awful and not worth the £14 we paid each. I would suggest anyone who is staying should go to the MacDonalds half a mile away.

Overall a good stay with very comfortable room. Check in seems a bit of a faff; going over personal details and sharing credit card and room number information in close proximity to other guests. These are details they already have when I booked and made me feel uncomfortable, particularly as a lone female traveller.

Lovely hotel....
On arrival the hotel seemed very nice and upmarket. Check in staff were lovely and informative. The room was quite small, but we only booked a double ..but there was lots of space, drawers and wardrobes to put clothes in. Also a fridge which was a great suprise...iron/ironing board too which was great. Unfortunately there was no view, and we only saw a construction site We went for dinner, and the staff were excellent 👌 the food was very good, not a great variety of choice, and very up-market...but we do like plain home good. but we had a slight problem with desert, and we're nicely not charged for it. Breakfast was nice, with a decent choice ( no fried eggs!!) overall a good stay, the decor and fittings are all very good, but lots of scuffs and marks on walls. We reported our window not closing on the first day and was open wide, and was told maintenance would come and check...we were still waiting when we left 2 days later.... We were offered another room, but it was too much of an inconvenience as we had just unpacked...and we were told maintenance would be there. Must say again, excellent staff specially in the restaurant.

Booked 2 hours before as travelling and needed somewhere to stay en-route. Quick friendly check-in, bar staff very friendly and helpful, whole place spotlessly clean. Room and bathroom spotless, felt very new, modern decor, comfy bed (a little soft). Only issue, if you can call it that was the amount of tea/coffee/milk in room, asked for more, wasn't a problem. Seems a little strange driving to location as it seems to be at the back of a new housing estate. Beautiful grounds. Didn't stay for breakfast as continuing journey.

Unable to complete stay at hotel due to excessive noise from function. Whilst its clear that hoyels will host events,it is not acceptable that guests are expected to accept the noise,or have had it explained that a noisy function would be taking place. No manager available at time to take note of complaint,and no response has bern received from the hotel despite an email to them on 15th September. I hope for prompt response and agreement that my booking cost will be refunded. Thanks B wiley
