Loved staying at this property, a short walk down very quiet , low traffic, gravel roads to a beautiful, endless Outer Banks dog friendly beach. Though the house had homes all around it, it felt very private because of all the trees surrounding the houses.
This house had plenty of beach chairs to use as well as a cart to transport said chairs to the beach.much appreciated Spent a lot of time on the generously sized screened in porch just off the kitchen. It was surrounded by greenery and had an overhead fan and 2 plugs available and a table that seats up to 8 persons. There is a very large outdoor deck on the front of the house we used to watch the sun descend and the stars pop out at night.Loved that a gate could be closed and the dogs could wander freely on this large deck. In addition, one more private small deck in the back corner of the house off one of the bedrooms. That porch we enjoyed to look at the moon and millions of stars, or to take in the ocean breezes in the afternoon. We were fortunate to have great weather the week we stayed at this property, we spent the majority of our time outdoors either at the beach or on the decks of this house.
As for the inside, clean, comfortable, bright spaces. A serviceable kitchen that includes a dishwasher. Plenty of cookware,
even spices and sugar, etc. Many cottages we have rented before would not even have salt and pepper. The beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and blankets Loved having access to a washer and dryer at this cottage.
This cottage very dog friendly, so be aware that there are some subtle pet stains on the carpets and some baggy slip covers on the couches. A boutique designer type cottage this is decidedly not which is exactly what we liked most about this place. Mind you, everything was neat and clean and homey and beachy and a great place to kick back and enjoy.
